"you're the weirdest person I've ever seen" was quite common, heard it from several unrelated people. Some of them even said the classic "you don't look autistic" eventually.
I think - if anything - 'weirdness' could be the general thing NT notice regarding ND, while otherwise everyone can be radically different. That is due to us behaving in variing unexpected and not or misunderstandable ways.
I blame the aspergers ;-) I noticed that the newest 5 post in this community all were posted within 5 minutes of each other, all by the same user, all with extremely similar structures, the aforementioned "simple question"-style. They feel, to me, highly redundant and not realy like actual questions.
I agree on the 'analysis' but not on the conclusion, since it's not really an autism thing to do. Autism thing would be to over analyze and structure the requests, up to the point of having no output due to this at all. On the other hand, adhd is unstructured actions being triggered.
I am not a doctor, but on the spectrum also with a direct family member having adhd, but of course there's always margin for error and people are very different but that's my understanding.
(also I don't want to convince you but am always interested in varying opinions to learn new things)
Hehe, that's fair. I noticed a while ago but thought ok if it annoys me, I should block the poster. She/he just seems the type to post like this and I don't want to change her/him.
Well obviously, since as far back as i can remember I've always been the odd one out, undiagnosed and unmanaged auDHD. Fitting in or not being odd one out wasn't even a possibility.
Though depending on perspective, i was actually the normal one, everyone else were the odd ones. Which probably was kinda helpful actually as i didn't even try to fit in which reduced pressure a lot.
Not usually. More likely to be considered a bit odd or eccentric (occasionally called OCD even though I'm technically not, I just can be rather pedantic or particular in certain contexts).
