Why is he afraid of flying?

Choose one:
A) Getting shot down over Russia by some drunk and untrained air defense crew
B) The North Korean plane falls apart midair because it hasn't been serviced since 1960

At least he's reducing his carbon footprint 😂

NK greenest country all thanks to dear leader /s

All air travel, all of it, amounts to less than 3% of carbon emissions.
smollittlefrog@lemdro.id · 17 pts · 2y
Every category of carbon emissions is just a part of the total carbon emissions.
SCB@lemmy.world · -11 pts · 2y
Yes and the percentage is important.
Valthorn@feddit.nu · 11 pts · 2y
So if we make up some 30 more categories with as much emission as air traffic, none of them make an impact, because they are all only about 3% of the total?
SCB@lemmy.world · -9 pts · 2y
Is this how you really think percentages work?
YourAvgMortal@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 2y
Let’s see: 30*3 = 90
We have room for 3 more categories, and then some!
They are all small, but they still make up 100%
BastingChemina@slrpnk.net · 7 pts · 2y
3% is huge.

Road transport is almost 10x air traffic emissions, as an example

orizuru@lemmy.sdf.org · 6 pts · 2y
How many people/cargo get moved by road transport vs air transport.
SCB@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 2y
Yes that's the point.
TropicalDingdong@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y
I thought it was substantially more than that.
SCB@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y
Just shared this link elsewhere, but it's generally estimated to be between 1.9 and 2.5% across all data I've seen

Doesn't want to risk having a pilot take one for the team and play the lawn dart game with him on board.

Sounds like something you have experience with if your username is any indication.

jet@hackertalks.com · 13 pts · 2y
It would be halarious if they meet in the middle of sibera train to train, like a bugs bunny cartoon
baggins@lemmy.ca · 11 pts · 2y
Anyone have the non-paywall link?

So I am mildly hopeful the trip will be so long, at arrival Jong Un will eat Pootin alive. Go Kim Go!
ours@lemmy.film · 3 pts · 2y
Ukrainian secret service should try to cover Putin in cheese as he meets Kim to make this more likely.
Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y
Serious question for anyone who knows NK politics... What would happen to NK's government if that train exploded?
Rapidcreek@reddthat.com · 10 pts · 2y
I believe his younger sister, Kim Yo-Jong, would make a try for the seat.
sandpiper@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y
Which might be the only thing worse.

Fact check TRUE

He was in a coma or some shit for a while before he emerged back in public having lost a ton of weight. So probably not much. I believe his sister was running things while he was away. This is all speculation of course. They would never admit he was sick.

Brad Pitt onboard?
SCB@lemmy.world · -15 pts · 2y
Omg - Joe Biden, bomb that train.
