Explanation for non-Americans?

Dairy Queen has blended ice cream they call blizzards. There are various mix-ins you can pick from like various flavors and candy/cookie options. They famously hold them upside down to show you they are thick enough to not fall, as opposed to the milkshakes everyone else makes.

And the scene it's photoshopped into is from Gladiator. It refers to a hand gesture used by Ancient Roman crowds to pass judgment on a defeated gladiator following duels in colosseums. Thumbs up meant life, thumbs down meant death.

The exact hand gestures used are highly disputed. By some accounts thumbs up meant death, while showing no thumb meant life.

Makes sense either way. Victor looks up, "thumbs up yeah i can kill him'

How is it possible to drink a milkshake which does not adhere to the principals of gravity?

surewhynotlem@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 67d

Mmm chocolate toothpaste

Ghyste@sh.itjust.works · 17 pts · 68d (3 replies)

Mint ice cream tastes nothing like mint toothpaste. And I hate it for you that your taste buds can't tell the difference.

Mint + oreos : chocolate toothpaste
