Fixed my mouse today

my 3d printed mouse broke - the click upper didn't up anymore. With a new 3d printed part, the click upper now ups again.

Is the red stuff 3D printed?

jet@hackertalks.com · 25 pts · 49d (4 replies)

Everything except the circuit board is 3d printed

Wow that's brilliant! I guess it's some sort of standard circuit board?

Also it's too hot here, 3D printed is in the title, sorry 🤪

No, it's a one-off circuit board. It's open source as well. You can make it yourself.

Cool, out of my skillset I guess though, haven't etched a pcb since teen age.

Edit: you wouldn't have a link?

jet@hackertalks.com · 4 pts · 48d

Yeah, I posted the link in another thread on this post.

Ploopy is so good! I have their Classic trackball and it's been holding up for years.

click upper

My brain:

What? What’s that thing? Wait… The existence of a left click, a middle click and a right click implies the existence of a front click, a back click, an up click and a down click. Maybe I should print a mouse, too!

Can't close my eyes, or make it go away.

My MX master 2 is starting to die, how are your experiences with this mouse? Aren't the layer lines a annoying texture?

jet@hackertalks.com · 3 pts · 48d

i really like this mouse - it's great if you want to play with firmware, probably not a great mouse to give to a non-technical person.
