Greenies for YarraByte.

Not for Yarra Trams who are messing around with all the stops I use most. Grumph.

CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone · 9 pts · 50d

Good morning YarraByte followers. 🌼

Let's go Socceroos ⚽ šŸ’›šŸ’ššŸ’›šŸ’ššŸ’›šŸ’ššŸ’›

Scores 0 - 0. Lol. We still qualified. šŸ‡¦šŸ‡ŗ

Pilk@aussie.zone · 5 pts · 49d (1 reply)

I'm not a soccer guy but I back team 'Straya no matter what. Would have loved a goal on the board today so I wasn't so beside myself with nerves haha.

CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone · 5 pts · 49d

Me too! Socceroos had great hair. Paraguay are a packa posers.

Up for a tradie that's due between 7-9am. Given it's my day off and I'm now up and showered earlier than a work day anyway, I'm guessing they'll be here around 9:30am.

I don't mind though, I would like to break this up late/sleep late cycle I'm in.

Edit: Done by 8:30am. Think I'll head into the city for a wander. Anyone got anything they recommend for city foods? I find I tend to eat the same things every time these days and need a breakout!

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 50d

I'm with you

first thing I've done is halve my anti-histamines and not taking any in the evenings

I have reduced my intake of allergens so much I don't need the anti-histamines as much and also, they are uppers and make me jittery and wired.

SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 6 pts · 49d (1 reply)

Getting out of the city before the match ends seems like a good idea, although it has turned into such a stunning day.

By Korea for lunch was an excellent idea, but perhaps a bottle of lychee soju with lunch... nah, fuck it, also an excellent idea.

SaneMartigan@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 49d

By Korea is great.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 6 pts · 50d

Come at me pantry moths.

I will win.

I have won before.

How on earth they get into sealed stuff is beyond me.

StudChud@aussie.zone · 6 pts · 49d (4 replies)

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 49d (1 reply)

make sure the carpet moths don't get into the mattress and base 😠

StudChud@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 49d

They don't seem to care about either. They're much more interested in the wool blend carpet lol

Catfish@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 49d

Yeah, need to bomb the wardrobe...

Bottom_racer@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 49d

oh gawd I have them too I just close the door and pretend everything is okay.

Thornburywitch@aussie.zone · 6 pts · 49d (1 reply)

Eggs were there before packet was sealed. Aus standards for insect eggs/parts in foodstuffs are a total joke - some of the worst in the world. Only compensation is extra protein I guess.

Bottom_racer@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 49d

Eggs were there before packet was sealed.

I was fearing that.. have to go through everything.

oh jeez that's a tm job.

Taleya@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 49d

they get in at the factory.

You don't home breed carpet moths. You bring in the eggs from the outside

Catfish@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 49d

Ditch or bake everything to death. It's still technically edible, but if I see wings brain goes nope

It's so fucking cool! I can only dream of doing it as good as them, but I'll try haha

Bottom_racer@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 48d

For so many years used to put in a bunch of unnecessary stuff in the mince (like egg, panko, herbs etc.) but now it's just salt and pepper. Wasted so much time trying to make it better and just made it worse lol.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 49d

😐

MeanElevator@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 49d

Went for a foggy walk and smoked a J whilst doing it.

Took me back 30 years (literally) and felt great.

Seagoon_@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 49d

I don't drink anymore. I used go to pubs and bars all the time, was truly a social drinker.

I am not good at compartmentalising and am stressed all the time. Maybe I should clock off, have a drink, relax and chat with you all more.

I definitely identify as a nerdette. Or a weirdo. A weirdo nerdette? A weirdo nerdetto? Spinnikins Nerdetto, sounds like the kinda ice cream I'd eat.

CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 49d (4 replies)

My daughter was talking to her counsellor and she asked "What's your mum like?" YL replied "Um different. Unique. Weird but not in a bad way just not the norm".

Hey kid how about She's a great mum and is also a human ATM. No instead I got categorised as a weirdo but alright.

SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 49d (3 replies)

IDK Weird but not in a bad way seems like a compliment!

CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 49d (2 replies)

She did mean it as a compliment. Lol.

She often says to us "I'm glad you parents aren't normal". And says it with a straight face.

SpinMeAround@aussie.zone · 4 pts · 49d

She is so awesome!

Tired, headache, sick. Plus plans this evening made weeks ago. I also went into the office because there were some things that needed clearing up that were easier to do in person.

Plus, I've got a wisdom tooth cutting through right now

Hell week is ending today, though Mon & Tue next week will also be brutal. Has anyone else been having 'fun' getting ready for the new AML requirements starting Wed next week?

Catfish@aussie.zone · 3 pts · 50d

No, but I did have both a new work computer and a full backend system change on the same day.

brain bent badly by nonstandard shortcut keys. And stop deleting USB ports!

tone212_@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 49d

I'm very thankful I am outside of the new AML laws, but the business I do contract work for has to comply and I was told to complete AML training before EOFY with a couple days' notice. And for no pay as well, how nice.

Taleya@aussie.zone · 2 pts · 49d

AML no but His Lordship and I have both had multiple massive projects that have an EOFY deadline. I'm actually getting sick of ordering GYG
