Not just the strikers, their families, too, including children and infants.

They even went after babies? Holy fuck

Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world · 86 pts · 78d

Yeah, they set the family shelters on fire because the families had dug under them to hide from the gunfire.

ironycanal@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 31 pts · 78d

We must not learn any lessons from this!

baltakatei@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 77d

Babies don't fight back or run.

It's only illegal if the proletariat break the law, otherwise it's just sparkling white shenanigans.

A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 42 pts · 78d (2 replies)

Animal abuse is illegal (unless its done en masse in factory farms)

Murder is illegal (unless its done in mass by a president)

Accepting bribes is illegal (unless you are a politician. It is called "lobbying")

I think you get the idea

Okay but my exception is fine, right?

WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 76d

Luckily, my father got connected, which I WILL exploit to start shit.

justaman123@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 77d (2 replies)

Occasionally when rich people hurt each others rich people's money there's a fine.

A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 77d

There actually is billionaire infighting. Look up "old money vs new money"

Daxter101@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 77d

Of course. You wouldn't want infighting within the class, now, would you? That's for the proletariat

knatschus@discuss.tchncs.de · 48 pts · 78d (3 replies)

I fucking hate all that dumb censorship on here, are you training the bots that words like killing suicide etc. are bad to make it easier for the ruling class to erase history once human record is drowned in bot posts?

A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 14 pts · 78d (2 replies)

Nah, I got this from elsewhere

orbituary@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 41 pts · 78d (1 reply)

Propagate the BS. These wankers who just want more likes will steal someone's thoughts, erase their @handle, then put a fancy fucking background on it and pawn it off as their own.

A404@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 22 pts · 78d

This one has better resolution. I will use it instead

Now It's illegal for the strikers not the murderers, after the strike breaker goons and cops murdered strikers they made union solidarity illegal in the US for nearly 80 years

https://wikipedia.org/wiki/Taft%E2%80%93Hartley_Act

Which leads to stuff like this where union contacts coordinated to expire at the same time is necessary to be able to coordinate strikes without getting arrested

Malyca@lemmy.zip · 19 pts · 77d (1 reply)

They never stopped

Doomsider@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 77d

They still kill unionists and whistle blowers to this day without consequences. I would not be surprised if these people appear on the CIA weekly kill list.

And some things more recent...

It's important not to forget that the race riots we've been having, and the antifa-ICE/police riots, are indirectly caused by labor relations.

  • Corpos import cheap labour and illegally exploit them;

  • The locals get angry about this practice eroding their own working conditions;

  • Corpo agents in the corpo-owned media incite hatred and fear against the people being exploited, diverting it away from the corpos themselves;

  • Corpo-owned governments "crack down" on the illegal immigrants, which has several benefits for the corpos:

    • It makes immigrant lives more precarious and dangerous, allowing greater exploitation;
    • The corpos do not get blamed by the locals;
    • Hatred of immigrants means that locals are less inclined to care about exploitation of immigrants;
    • Governments can legally enslave people by imprisoning them, and forcing them to work for corpos for practically no pay. This is the current boom industry in the United States.

As usual business creates the problem and then blames it on the government. Everyone hates the government but business is calling the shots.

This was absolutely my reaction as a kid and it took me entirely too long to finally truly understand.

Gammelfisch@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 77d

In the USA, every single blue collar worker should remove their thin blue line stickers and flags. When it boils down to the police, they are there to protect the property owned by the upper class.

And the best part - americans are still toothless, still complacent, still believing it's better to support their broken system "just in case they ever end up on the better side of it".

Doomsider@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 77d

You are giving them way too much credit.

They don't think period.

Everyone is living paycheck to paycheck dealing with life's drama like kids, medical issues, relationships, taking care of their parents, addictions, etc.
