To all the people who bought anything from Sony after the 2005 rootkit fiasco: what the hell did you expect?

ColeSloth@discuss.tchncs.de · 11 pts · 33d

I'm there with you... But pretty much anyone under the age of like 32 isn't going to have a clue about that.

My favorite games, God of war. Didn't disappoint.

Works with PlayStation. Not so much with many other things.

Its not stupid

Its intentional

scutiger@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 33d

Just because something is intentional doesn't mean it's not also stupid.

slaacaa@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 33d

It's ok when Valve and CDPR does it.

You’ve always been free to vote with your wallet

Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 33d

You've posted this sentiment in three different comments and an entire post and been down voted to hell every time. We get it, you (for some reason) think that there is no difference between PC gaming and console gaming.

Obviously you're wrong and this sentiment is stupid, but keep thinking that it's everyone else being hypocrites and not you being blinded by your own bias. I'm sure everyone will start agreeing with you if you just keep posting the same comment.

Valve's DRM-based no disks environment manages to be freer than current consoles.

But I do avoid both.

I know this is bait, but imagine calling out the ONLY major player selling drm free games with real ownership in this context
