Somewhere out there there is probably someone who made a water resistant charging station with solar power and a roomba that goes and vacuums their tennis court or whatever. Hell they have the solar outdoor chargers for the automated lawnmowers so I'm sure they could modify one of those.
It was also pretty disgusting to clean. Always a mess of wet gunky hair in the brush and dirty water bin. It sadly didn’t clean super well but was better than not cleaning.
You gotta clean your floors, you gotta clean your forests... Many, many years of leaves and broken trees, and they’re like, like, so flammable, you touch them and it goes up.
In fact there are many tiny little automated roomba's roaming around, cleaning up nature as we speak.
And not only are they fully autonomous, they also get their energy by burning the stuff they vacuum up. So you don't even have to charge them!
You'd think that you can only get these crazy little machines by buying into the monopoly of some insane fascist trillionaire, but no! They multiply themselves! You don't have to do anything for it!
I don't like the urge to anthropomorphize these small, mobile robots.
"Poor little guy."
These things are increasingly being used to spy on us, not just vacuum cleaners, but the delivery robots, too. They aren't cute, they're intrusive and threatening. I have no sympathy or fuzzy feelings for them. Better to see them for what they are.
my 7 series maps completely via front facing camera, no lidar. It was a bumper so it knows when it's actually touching the thing, but it already knows, it's just donfirmation.

There are many a cat/dog you could name nature and this statement would still hold.

That’s a scooba. Rare obscure product no one bought. It had a water tank and scrubbed your floor while vacuuming up the dirty water.
THE_GR8_MIKE@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 56d
I remember these. Felt kind of weird putting water into an electric vacuum.

To be honest, nature hasn't had a proper clean-up since like forever. It's about time we sent a couple of roomba's around.

Nature has a way of dealing with that from time to time. Several ways, in fact.
