Recently entered the platform and already got recognized by one of the top modblog contributors - the MysticMushroom1776 @lemmy.dbzer0.com. And I got the title troll in so much communities. And I haven't posted there even once.
But, as I understood from the modblog, getting a ban from this moderator is very common and thus doesn't feel like something special. Especially, since there are no direct requirements specified for receiving it. And in private messages I was unsuccessful in getting answers.
So, maybe here can the moderator give the whole list of what to do(or not to do) to gain such attention, so that other people can/can't get it too? Because of the rules for comunities don't give enough info.
Thanks in advance.
P. S. Made post more serious.

Yeah, I got banned for being an AI troll despite not posting in any of their coms and not trolling anywhere else. Kinda seems they just take any negative AI sentiment anywhere as proof of trolling or antagonistic behavior.
The thing that really confuses me though is the Europe com. I can understand wanting to make your safe little slop spaces, but to then just have one called "Europe" which should have absolutely nothing to do with AI be a mandated pro AI com is just weird, controlling behavior.

This moderator likes to ban in all of their communities at the same time. I suppose that this is some kind of insecurity to prevent revenge towards them in a form of inappropriate behavior in other communities. This does prevents banned person to interact with them in their comunities, but doesn't prevent of doing so in other, like here. Normal people send a warning or something firstly, not instant permaban. This is what makes this moderator a questionable person.
unmagical@lemmy.ml · 9 pts · 63d
In the case of this mod though, there's not even anything to warn against. They just don't understand online discourse and are knee jerkingly overly reactive.

I think I remember that Europe community being created because of heavy handed moderation on .world's Europe. DBZ was supposed to be the "free" instance that didn't have that problem.
As you say, most of those are fringe slop communities and who cares if they're heavy handed in their little fiefdoms, but they definitely shouldn't be running a continent wide place community. If that Europe ever took off they need to get rid of them or move again.

I think large communities should elect mods each year

Double PTB. Nothing show you trolling on any of those communities and if you did you should only be banned in the single community where you not respected the rule
OwOarchist@pawb.social · 7 pts · 63d
If I ran a Lemmy instance, one of my instance rules would be that no single person can be a moderator of more than one community at a time.

The fun part is that I, as I am now starting to suspect, have shown "too much" disagreement with posts and comments of this moderator. But, in the same time, not less have I disliked/liked others. So it seems that it was some kind of auto ban for too much dislikes.

Holy PTB, Batman
I assumed you were downvoting them left, right, center, up, down, and sideways. Yeah. You downvoted them one time, at 2:35AM (not sure which timezone). You received your "automated ban" 1 hour and ~15 minutes later.
Hell, looking at ALL your voting, you seem more reliable of a voter than I am.
This is petty-level power tripping.
Quokka@quokk.au · 9 pts · 63d
Lot of new accounts in here stirring shit up. Is this the usual troll again?
Edit: And all these new accounts are calling zir a fascist, the only users to do. This troll is always so annoying, how many years of your life are you going to waste harassing one user?
Edit2: Oh look, my comment was downvoted but what's this all downvoting accounts were made within the last 6 hours.
OP is part of a multi year long trolling and harassment campaign against a singular user. They frequently spin up alt accounts to create drama and cause shit. And because they are so obvious at what they do MM bans them frequently.
pinto@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 54d
And note how OP stopped posting once called out and made this post. Just stopped. Certainly not an attack on one user!

moderator calls using the term "AI bro" on zir to be misgendering? i think it's lexicalized

calling "her" a fascist? it's obvious, it's put right in front of you, ze uses ze/zir pronouns

Interesting. Can you tell me more about this event, that happened in the past? Maybe this will answer the questions about radical policies of this moderator.

Nah, you deserve nothing troll.
RollyJeho@sh.itjust.works · -4 pts · 63d
What gives you an authority to call someone a troll just because of someone else did it? Maybe then you also don't deserve a respectful attitude?

This platform is no better than Reddit for new users, if here you must firstly prove that you are worth something. I guess that this is a universal problem, then.
Quokka@quokk.au · 13 pts · 63d
Oh yeah totally new user that just knows to post in YPTB within their first 24 hours after mass downvoting a user who frequently gets harassed by “new user” accounts mass downvoting her and posting in YPTB.
Who the hell do you think you’re fooling here?
RollyJeho@sh.itjust.works · -5 pts · 63d
I know how to read rules and tips on a platform. And how to search for communities simply because of my Reddit experience. It took me a few hours to find this one, which can be accomplished by any person. The only thing I can agree is that searching something on Lemmy is hell of a trouble due to no post search and only communities search inside the platform. But, for some reason, the Google search for some posts do exist. Mostly on World instance.
The other strange thing is that, as I agree with you, I am being defended by some fresh accounts that actively harass this mod. Like, suspiciously too much hate. While I just want to hear an answer from the mod why exactly I was banned. Because of private messaging doesn't work at all.
eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 45d
For such a normal and totally real account, you stopped posting after this.
Not at all suspicious.
naevaTheRat@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 7 pts · 63d
They're bonkers lol. Funnily enough in a recent thread mystic called someone else doing this a PTB.
Lemmy is a joke, the worst people from reddit mod all the comms.
diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 0 pts · 63d
I couldnt agree with you more. So much trippy people here..
flamingos@feddit.uk · 6 pts · 63d
Huh, so this is how I discover neither futurology or fedinsfw have registration applications enabled. Their admins probably should change that.
cecinestpasunecommunication@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 64d
I got that one! The piece of shit called me 'neoliberal' instead of troll, which is kind of slander and I'm more upset about than the bans.
diffaldo@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 63d
PTB I got banned as well and I havent done anything. Never interracted with the said mod and comms. Also I hardly downvote anything because i always upvote content to make fediverse more engaging.
One of the main reasons why I chose this instance because of trasparency and no hierarchy. So I thought no one could easily abuse power and ban people willy nilly. Even though admins dont do that, and I appriciate them, its heartbreaking to see this behavior here.
I think we need a rule or something to prevent this kind of behaviour. Also It would be nice if MM get unmodded from Europe and other nonpersonal comms.

I am OK with someone having their personal blogs in which they post whatever they want. I am not okay with this instant banning policy without a warning. If this was an automated decision like in Reddit, than OK. I suppose, that I can deal with it once I speak with this mod. Otherwise, this is not a user-friendly policy.

I was just banned from the same bunch of comms, probably by the same PTB - apparently, being anti-pig and being anti-British empire qualifies one as "Anti-AI Trolling on AI friendly Instance dbzer0"
I think it's time to admit that, as an experiment in non-corporate controlled social media, it seems that lemmy has failed... the "Power Tripping Mod" problem isn't superficial - it's fundamental.
OwOarchist@pawb.social · 4 pts · 63d
Has it failed, though? You were banned from a few communities.
If this were a corpo place, something petty like this could easily have landed you with a site-wide permaban.
therealdries@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 63d
Depends on your definition of success and failure... if you think "success" means concentrating social media power into the hands of a pseudo-class of unaccountable moderators, you can certainly go ahead and declare lemmy a spectacular success.
And your point is...?
But this is not a corporate place... is it?
Aliska934@futurology.today · -1 pts · 63d
It has failed because we let anyone ban anyone at all from communities. Only admins should be able to ban people. We should be pushing for no banning at all like with Nostr. Don't like people? Block them. No inhibiting other people's participation it is unnatural.
OwOarchist@pawb.social · 3 pts · 63d
Nah. There are still endless spammers and other bullshit like that. And it's better for a few mods to deal with them than leaving it up to every individual user to have to manually block every individual spammer.
Aliska934@futurology.today · 0 pts · 63d
Then make voluntary sharable lists. Prohibiting participation is unnatural and overbearing.

Probably. It is logical that nothing stops all kinds of people to appear in different types of platforms. Especially if we consider that lemmy is basically a union of hundreds different instances, each one being its own mini platform.
