It's pretty well known China lies about their GDP, it's something close to half of what they claim. Most statistics from China are utter bullshit, they say they only had 60k COVID deaths and it's estimated at over a million in reality.

China is all about saving face, it's kinda like a toddler that lies about everything and everyone just goes "that's nice sweetie" while patting their head and they think everyone believes them.

As an American, I can't imagine how horrible it is to have a leader who lies about everything. It must be rough for those people in China.
