No, I took it that america is so exceptional that the whole world implodes without it. And so did everyone else, by the looks of it. Which is hilarious. No country is that important. Hell a massive meteor hit the world a few million years ago and the world survived, so I'm sure it'll go on just fine without a country or two.

The lesson I would take from this is either don't say such 'explosive' things, or be more articulate in what you are actually trying to say.
