I am looking to learning about the political ties between modern day Egypt and china. Unfortunately, no matter what terms i use, All Search Engines always default to Ancient Egypt on any given topic. I wouldn't mind some fun history facts about Ancient times but i am more interested in the current political ongoing of modern Egypt.
On a more general but related note, how do Political research look up stuff on Modern Egypt? are there any scientific journals that publish on modern Egypt?

You probably already found it, but there is a wikipedia page about China-Egypt relations. The References section contains mostly articles, but also a few academic publications.
On the search engine part, looking for
diplomatic relationship between china and egyptgave me correct results on DDG.Otherwise i don't know much about the matter. Good luck in your research !

I would start by looking for Egyptian embassies in China and vice versa. If there are none, that can be a clue hinting towards a frosty relationship, and you can search further into why there are none and when there was one last and why it closed.
If there are embassies they might have materials on current political dealings.
The UN can also be a source for global politics.
You may have to dig through very dry online archives or email someone working at your source to find the material you're looking for.
