i am going to use the partially ai-written, human reviewed kernel that can be forked and used for free, over the vibe-coded to shit ONE-HUNDRED AND FOURTY DOLLAR operating system that tried to eat itself alive last week
gonne be honest i probably did, things have been rough this week year
i thought it was highlighting linus defending people using AI to a certain extent, but i don't know any further context because my brain can barely perceive that site sorry
Linus was defending his use Claude Mythos, while the initial email was questioning what to do with the spam commits affecting contributions. Linus called his subordinates âsocial warriorsâ for not accepting spam into his project.
It's like Linus has no vision or solution to spam commits. It's like he doesn't understand âtechnologyâ and âhad better be looking in the mirror and pointing at [himself] at the same time.â He figuratively placed his âhead in the sand and s[a]ng âLa La La, I can't hear youâ at the top ofâ the commit tree.
I have windows (lazy) and every goddamn update I have to check and make sure the shitty thing didn't install that Recall garbage. Why would I want to PAY you to keep my files hostage wtf???

I don't understand how anyone can stand Windows trying to sell them something every 10 minutes.

Yeah, because of artist attribution on another post, I was introduced to a new genre I hadn't actually read before.

I think, you misread the entire point of my reference: Linux doesnât have LLM, it has a fascist+spam problem.
