Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho

Of course...

"Idiocracy"

ajmaxwell@lemmy.world · 28 pts · 61d (1 reply)

He knew things were bad and had the will to see them fixed, despite what the Representative from North Carolina said.

nymnympseudonym@piefed.social · 43 pts · 61d

Also once Camacho found the world's smartest man, he demanded his help

As opposed to decrying him as a woke pansy intellectual and deporting him

switcheroo@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 60d

Would make a way better president than our current Pedo-in-Chief...

scrubbles@poptalk.scrubbles.tech · 43 pts · 61d (4 replies)

We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

slacktoid@lemmy.ml · 21 pts · 61d (3 replies)

Bill Pullman is best president

Also I dunno why I always get chills when I hear this obviously cheesy line. He sold it.

bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip · 8 pts · 61d (1 reply)

Easily one of the best movie speeches of all time. I remember seeing it in a theater in NYC when it was first released, and the entire auditorium went apeshit.

slacktoid@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 59d

Also kinda wild that USA wants to share something with the world, as close to it as 4th of July.

What would the equivalent speech be today?

Knossos@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 60d

That speech and Al Pacino in Any given Sunday always gets me.

Zonefive@sh.itjust.works · 32 pts · 61d (3 replies)

Kinda floored he hasn’t been mentioned yet, so I’ll throw him in the mix.

cupcakezealot@piefed.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 60d

honestly in the west wing world even arnold vinick would be good.

SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 60d

Too Kennedy.

AntiOutsideAktion@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 60d

Dogshit president. Only accomplishment was cutting social security.

Tinks@lemmy.world · 23 pts · 61d (1 reply)

Bartlet.

funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works · 9 pts · 61d

he was a good man - but he gave up the presidency temporarily after lying about having MS, frequently engaged in black ops in other countries, shut down the government like Trump, and knowingly employed an alcoholic who was constantly relapsing during the campaign trail as his chief of staff. Also his communications director leaked military secrets, his press secretary was in a suspicious relationship with a journalist, his wife committed medical fraud and due to knock on affects of his security protocol he and his speech writer are shot, he and his senior staff are exposed to a potential chemical weapon and quarantined, several secret service agents are killed during active service protecting the first family, and during some of these killings his daughter is kidnapped.

His administration was a mess lol

Ibuthyr@feddit.org · 18 pts · 61d

Donald Trump. Because he'd be fictional and not real.

UncleArthur@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 61d

Morgan Freeman, obviously.

cypherpunks@lemmy.ml · 10 pts · 61d (1 reply)

SatyrSack@quokk.au · 10 pts · 61d

Henry Hayes from Stargate SG-1

Tenderizer78@lemmy.ml · 10 pts · 59d

Look, the bar has been set so low that even Idiocracy has a better president.

boaratio@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 60d (3 replies)

Anyone. Literally any movie president would be better than what we have. I'd take Bill Pullman, Harrison Ford, Jack Nicholson from Mars attacks, anyone.

Globochan@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 60d (2 replies)

Terry Crews from idiocracy

boaratio@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 60d

I'd be fine with that. He eventually found the smartest person in the world and put him in charge. Trump just appointss sycophants that are the most vile, evil people on the planet.

Abyssian@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 59d

I'd like to see the House of representin be making some stupid votes with Terry Crews standing there flexing his pecs and glaring all angry at em.

sunsofold@lemmy.zip · 9 pts · 60d

The versions of historical american presidents seen in the american mythology. The world could use a president as great as the George Washington patriotic Americans think he was.

sprack@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 60d (1 reply)

Nixon’s head on a robot body.

yermaw@sh.itjust.works · 6 pts · 60d

Naw hed sneak into people's houses at night and wreck up the place

Polisheocket@lemmy.zip · 9 pts · 60d

Morgan Freeman and no one can say different. I can sleep on a cloud of his voice

Mirshe@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 61d

When he wasn't trying to engage in his favorite pastime of killing and vilifying Superman, Lex Luthor was a pretty good President all things considered.

PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmy.ml · 8 pts · 60d

For USA? Roland Crane, since his only act shown in his office was getting offed by missile strike.

cupcakezealot@piefed.blahaj.zone · 7 pts · 60d (2 replies)

either of them

kevin kline and charles grodin from the movie dave

AntiOutsideAktion@lemmy.ml · 3 pts · 60d (1 reply)

President Beethoven

cupcakezealot@piefed.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 60d

beethoven stopped a girl from drowning, helped a kid stand up to bullies, helped a girl get a date, and stood up to sleezy business people stopping someone from making a bad deal. president beethoven would be a blessing.

Doodz@lemmy.ml · 7 pts · 60d (1 reply)

Film: Dave (1993).

Everyone should watch this movie at least once.

waggz@programming.dev · 3 pts · 60d

first thing to come to my mind... loved Kevin Kline in this!

luthis@lemmy.nz · 6 pts · 61d (2 replies)

In general or in comparison?

WanderWisley@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 61d (1 reply)

As long as it’s an actor/actress who played the president in something.

luthis@lemmy.nz · 4 pts · 61d

Well in comparison it would be all of them. In general, I'd say Bill Pullman.

HiddenLayer555@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 60d

The Federation president is probably passable. Though Star Trek really doesn't show how the Federation government is structured probably because they don't want to lean too much into the socialist undertones in case they get canceled (like actually canceled) for it.

President Merkin Muffley.

spacehulk@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 61d (3 replies)

Literally any of them.

JoMiran@lemmy.ml · 5 pts · 61d (2 replies)

*Looks at Nick Offerman in Civil War.

Soapbox@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 60d (1 reply)

Nick Offerman's character in Civil War. No thanks.

Nick Offerman himself as president? I could work with that.

cupcakezealot@piefed.blahaj.zone · 2 pts · 60d

nick offerman as president just for megan mullally as first lady

Johandea@feddit.nu · 3 pts · 61d

Volodymyr Zelenskyj, while not perfect, has proven he can both play and do the job.

BeUnique@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 61d (2 replies)

President Kamacho is sorta like the president we have now if that's what you're into.

WanderWisley@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 61d (1 reply)

Camacho was nuts but he still cared about his people. Donny don’t give 2 shits about any of us.

Soapbox@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 60d

For real. I for one would gladly take President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho over what we have now.

Blackfeathr@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 61d

Stephen Colbert. Though iirc in the marvel universe he won the popular vote but lost the EC vote to Obama.

He still would be a good president.

Treczoks@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 60d

Carl Parker Buckman from the Story "A Fresh Start" by Rollie Lawson.

Shteou@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 59d

Nayak (2001)

QuentinCallaghan@sopuli.xyz · 2 pts · 61d

In one Simpsons episode Cletus was a president, I'd think he would do his job well.

wador@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 61d

Vasyl Petrovych Holoborodko?

PearlsSwineEtc@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 60d (1 reply)

Chauncey Gardner

waggz@programming.dev · 1 pts · 60d
