https://helios-ha.org/

Saw this on /r/homeassistant, thought it was pretty cool looking, even though I don't have solar.

This is a total nitpick because the tool looks cool. Could we maybe just refer to it as solar power systems? We just had an article headline about hackers attacking thousands of solar systems. A solar system is already an established thing.

Yeah, I was really confused when I followed the link. I was expecting astronomy, not clean energy. Still cool, just not the right words.

Absolutely this. Confusing AF. Looks great though.

Solar array is what me and my wife agreed when I reas out the headline I understood from context and she was confused by in my retelling.

Fair comment. Fixed the title to solar power system.

We only have one solar system. Sol is the name of our star. Every other system of planets around one or more stars is a star system.

If humans ever leave the Solar system and take the PV Panels we use now with us, they will no longer produce solar power... (This is a gripe I have with the Starfield game).

We have PV Power Systems...

Looks pretty neat. Now I just need to be able to afford the solar power system and panels. :D

Panels are pretty cheap now, below €100 for 450wh panels.

Strit@lemmy.linuxuserspace.show · 2 pts · 25d

It would cost around €10000 for me to get a system appropriate for my house. So it will take a while.

It looks nice, but even my simple grafana panel here has more information density:

blue is power from the battery. green is power from the grid. yellow is power from the sun directly. orange line is sun elevation.

And the best thing about that is the paragraph of text you needed to provide to make it understandable.

Well, because you likely don't speak German, otherwise all the info was in the footer.

This installed easily but it’s just eye candy for me right now.

I need to dig deeper to get it more customized.

Really nice! How do I add individual groups? There is no “pill box” to assign loads to groups.
