Isnt this the way of all technology?

Thing N is released. It's new and innovative, and addresses all the problems with Thing N-1. 

It gains popularity until it becomes defacto standard, in the process forcing Thing N-1 to adopt a lot of Thing N's new features.

After a while the developers reduce or stop the innovation because their product is #1 and has no real competition, until Thing N+1 is released.

Hide behind "dismissing GrapheneOS fanboys" all you want, but the points raised about SailfishOS being proprietary are valid. It is the same as running Samsung's OneUI, or Google's Android - the underlying core is FOSS but the layer with access to all your data is proprietary.

For the record I don't use GrapheneOS.

These businesses bill Australian customers for advertising - they follow Australian laws. 4chan is different though...
