Yeah 'twas quite the eureka moment when I realized that I might not "simply" have been clinically depressed for these past few years for no reason*, but that the depression may have been a symptom of gender related dysphoria.
*my doctor kept telling me "life's tough, think about the casualties of war in Iran" 😶💦
I'm so good at blocking out mentally exhausting situations, often I don't even realize how much strain they put on me - only when they're gone, then all of a sudden I feel the huge lift off of my shoulders.
Yeah. Dysphoria can manifest as a general unease/depression without a clear source. It's like a weight that you might not realize is there until you experience euphoria and it's suddenly lifted
