Cook made Apple a trillion-dollar company at the cost of its soul. I’m very curious to see what this new CEO will do. More of the same, or will he take on a daring new direction and take risks with that gigantic mountain of money they didn’t throw away on the AI bubble?
More of the same I’m guessing. I’ll be interested to see how long he lasts. I would have preferred someone like Forstall or Federighi or Fadell. Cook is chairman of the board now, so it’s not like he’s really gone anywhere.
At least that awful industrial designer Dye is gone.
Cost of its soul? What do you mean? Apple has always been about profit from the moment Steve and Woz created it (more Steve, but that’s why they’re still around).
