I love this because its before photoshop and lay-flat materials and so its just chock full of imperfections (she has pockets in her pants!) but not a single person would say shes ugly as a result.

I miss the days where a camera was the best they had and editing was incredibly difficult and time consuming. It gave people much better judgement baselines to work from.

photoshop was already around and retouche been a thing for almost a century at this point. however, its use was way less intrusive than how it is currently applied - it was used to clean the thing up but for the most part heavily processed images were more of fashion promo thing
