I thought it was the adults because that’s all I’d been able to see, but then I saw a loud little baby in the barberry, and mama cardinal perched above me ready to throw down if I made a wrong move.
They are incredibly annoying, I'm guessing just one family, but I’m super glad my advanced druid yard has given them a good platform to grow and thrive.

Hmm.. if it’s alive, how do you wash it? Or do you just water it and let it eat your dead skin and body oils as nutrients..?

(And yes I did read.. about half of this, and skimmed the rest looking for an answer. It’s only about how it works and how it’s made, i don't think they considered that practicality at all for this research)
There is a bit about glycerol-plasticization and the chemical solvent resistance resulting, but I'm not really sure how well that translates to household clothes washing, nor the mechanical stresses involved.
I got a dress with pockets the other day. I bought it specifically because it has pockets. Its not my style aesthetically but its my style functionally!
Sadly its made of the sort of fabric that hangs heavy and stretches nicely (a type of fabric I actually love), probably a 4-way knit with spandex blend, which means if I use the pockets for much of anything, it pulls down and looks not great because it clings to every single bit of body under it
Still, good place for hands to go so I can show off that it has pockets!!! 😜
I’m always disappointed when they don’t leave big dishes like this to decay as a basin. Im sure its because they were hoping to resume use of it at some point, but still
It would be lovely to have left it to fill in, if its just going to slowly degrade and collapse anyway, it would become a little oasis for birds and lizards and such for a while, until enough holes form to leak everything out.
My mom had something similar to this for serving dinner rolls. You put a cloth napkin in the bottom, draped over the sides and all, then put in the rolls, then wrap the cloth napkin around them to hold the steam and warm.
I love this because its before photoshop and lay-flat materials and so its just chock full of imperfections (she has pockets in her pants!) but not a single person would say shes ugly as a result.
I miss the days where a camera was the best they had and editing was incredibly difficult and time consuming. It gave people much better judgement baselines to work from.
This is great for people who get lost in paragraphs, I suppose? Like theres only a small bit of text on screen so theres only so much you can forget before moving on to the next umm.. blurb..?
Does it count as a home studio if you just don't care how big of a mess you make and do things wherever you feel like?
Cuz I paint in bed. I do clay work on the carpeted floor of my spare room. I make beady things on the couch. Who cares if a paint drip gets on my table? Or blanket? I mean I have ruined so much clothing with paint over the years because I have no concept of “work clothes”, what’s a drip here or there?
Ironically I make more mess of my own self when painting walls than I ever have messed up the environment I’m painting.. I don't use painters tape or drop cloth, I'm just very good at cutting lines, but I’ll always ruin whatever I'm wearing to do it. For whatever reason.
Do you bother blind people about how they could experience the world if they were sighted, too?
Like its a moot point, idk what you hope to gain here other than being a dick about how your way is better when I have no way to ever know, and you can never see my point of view either.
