Please wear laser safety glasses if you’re going to be around lasers like this. Lasers this powerful can be strong enough to damage your eyes even if you don’t look at the direct reflection of the laser.
You’re looking for glasses that have at least 7 optical density in the wavelength of your laser. The next criteria is to buy glasses that have the highest visible light transmission % (otherwise you are less likely to wear them as you won’t be able to see as easily). Thorlabs is a great laser safety eyeglasses supplier.

It really boggles the mind how people are so casual about playing with powerful lasers.

Uhm, glass window + powerful laser. The reflections can still blind a random bystander.

This is like open carrying a MRI scanner as far as public safety is concerned
BradleyUffner@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 17d
An MRI is completely safe. Did you mean X-ray?
Einskjaldi@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 16d
It's safe if there's nothing metal around you and the MRI.

Not being Armenia’s here, I just sound blunt. Unfortunately tech is used against us so you have to fight back.
Guns are also really harmful to safety but they seem acceptable to a lot of people.
There are limited other options.

I'm fine with Armenians, no worries
