I think the second image is his room in aunt May's house, whereas the first is a room he's renting and barely able to aford as all his income comes from delivering pizza.

Also IIRC he (Tobey) eventually moves in with Harry.

zaphod@sopuli.xyz · 6 pts · 22d (1 reply)

That was in the first film. In the second and third film he only had this tiny room.

It’s been a minute since I’ve seen them, for some reason I remembered that backwards. Though, now that I’m thinking about it I probably only saw the third one in theaters.

Aww, they were roommates! Now that movie trilogy makes more sense

I think Aunt May has fans supporting an independent secondary income source if you know what I mean.

That's a bit of a grey area, I believe the tests he was shown studying for at the end of no way home imply he was erased from the academic records. that's second hand knowledge though and not really relevant considering how things hashed out.

JcbAzPx@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 22d

It erased anything that would link Peter and Spiderman. So his academic record would still be there but not the application that he was trying to get unrejected due to him being Spiderman.

In Big Hero 6, Cass Hamada had a pretty good pad for Hiro. And goddamn was Aunt Cass a smoke show.

I could be way wrong here, but the building in Queens they are shown to be in very much reminds me of the projects. Which, for the record, I grew up visiting NYC projects because that's where my friends lived. Section 8 housing isn't expensive by design, nor is it glamorous. People totally make do, though.

That said, if she's got housing settled like that, no reason she can't make sure her brilliant little orphaned nephew has some nice things when she can afford it.

And then there's Tony Stark and that angle.

chuckleslord@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 23d (3 replies)

Tony Stark angle means nothing in the Holland image. Tony is dead and the world forgot that Peter is Spider-Man, so no money from that.

ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 22d (2 replies)

Did Dr. Strange's spell do fraud on Tony's bank account?

wyldrstallyns@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 22d

Oh, yes, the non-consensual, untested invasion of billions of human minds in an instant surely takes second place behind sub-$10k of banking fraud. πŸ™†πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜…πŸ€”

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 22d

No that was Peter again

reader@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 23d (2 replies)

I thought he had a job

SapphironZA@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 22d

Its why he is not sharing the New York apartment with 6 other people.

FerretyFever0@fedia.io · 2 pts · 23d
