Mobile users forced to use Reddit app

This is happening now in Australia, you scroll for a few screens and then a full page display with no other option than "Install Reddit App" appears. Back paging resets the page to the "everywhere" setting.

You're not forced to use the app if you stop using their services.

I finally got cut off from the last subreddit I read, amitheasshole.

Not really a loss since I knew it was coming eventually, some day Lemmy will have a good community of aitah.

In my country, part of the EU it started this week. It's forced and if I try to block it using ublock origin, the site does not even allow to scroll down.

If you must read particular subreddits, try an RSS reader. They haven't fully banned those yet.
