Yes I would.

...

Now....

Would I also accidentally fork over secrets critical to the enslavement of my entire species to the AI? Also yes.

My eyesight is not what it once was. I would need to be able to feel said yams.

A test drive if you will.

Are we all AI by the end of last season?

What a weird show.

Quacksalber@sh.itjust.works · 16 pts · 2d (3 replies)

Yeah, the religious overtones have taken center stage in the last seasons. Definity detracting from an otherwise stellar show. And I think they implied that we are.

ZkhqrD5o@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 2d

And IMO the ending was made deliberately trash. At the end they all decide: "We have come a long way and after New Caprica and everything we've been through, we've learned a lot. So let's forget all of that and become cave men." They got fucked by Baltar in New caprica so they want do it again and this time even worse, without an escape. Lol.

Ariselas@piefed.ca · 1 pts · 2d (1 reply)

It's hard to get them out entirely when you consider that the original show was heavily based in Mormonism

restingOface@quokk.au · 0 pts · 1d

So much of the show was changed from the original. They could have definitely taken out all the religious overtones.

Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 2d (3 replies)

"... and they have a plan"

But the show's producers never figured it out

jobbies@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 1d (1 reply)

I'd forgotten about that.

I always thought it was cut short. Definitely had a few more seasons in it.

cy888@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1h

They ended a touch late. There didn't seem to be a planned endgame and they wrapped up quickly and messily.

Redditmodstouchgrass@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 21h

It was the network that forced them into that tagline if i recall.

Rusty@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 2d

We are all AI on this blessed day.

Sibshops@lemmy.myserv.one · 9 pts · 2d

Where are the yams? There's not even potatoes nor any type of spud.

Yes.

Loved that episode, still hate that they forget he was a computer scientist when he unplugs the monitors at the end.

Yeah but she kills babies.

bold_omi@lemmy.today · 6 pts · 2d

Yes, I would hate it an equal amount. Although it already does, no?

db2@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2d (5 replies)

Apparently she hated that job.

AgentSeven@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 2d (1 reply)

I don't know why. It's not like her resume otherwise is nothing but bangers.

Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2d

I enjoyed her role in Lucifer.

sundray@lemmus.org · 3 pts · 2d

That yam job.

bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de · 2 pts · 2d

Judging by her comments on her rewatch together with Katee Sackhoff she didn't. She was just pretty pissed about the hair color making her hair fall out.

But she, like most of the other cast members, loved the freedom and collaboration on the show.

ikidd@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 2d

I'm ok with that.
