Lather: Chiseled Face - Midnight Stag Silk Tallow - Soap
Toner: Thayers - Coconut - Toner
Aftershave: Chiseled Face - Midnight Stag - Aftershave
Fragrance: Chiseled Face - Midnight Stag - Eau de Parfum
3 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
I tried a slurry lather today because I thought this silk tallow base would be perfect for it. My technique execution was poor, but I got the desired effect from the lather. I need to do this again to improve my technique.
I'm back home again (yay!), working (yay!). An excellent shave – this was way closer than anything I got out of the Edwin Jagger DE razor, even though I had the impression that I did a decent job with it. Straight razors rule!
It would not be - large is more horizontally extended 😁
In this case it means the high seas, though. It's a nice aquatic, less sophisticated than Aqua Velva, but more refreshing. I don't know whether Mennen sells that under another name in the US of A
Edit: according to Gemini, it is not sold under any other name
Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Beaudelaire - Aftershave
Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Leather - EdP
This brush continues to impress. I don't even think it's fully broken in yet, but I've stopped soaking it before use. I just run it under warm water for a bit and it's ready to roll.
The first pass was borderline tuggy so I added more water to the lather. That must have softened things up because the rest of the shave was great.
Lotion: Humble Bee Botanicals Calendulove Face Cream
Fragrance: Stirling Hipster EdT
1st pass WTG, 2nd pass XTG. CCS. It's been a while since I tried one of these blades. I liked it much more than last time, but I think it falls short of a feather or bolzano.

Although @sgrdddy@sub.wetshaving.social doesn't post here often, I'm glad to see some of his nomenclature and ethos mentioned from time to time.

Yeah I always enjoy his “shave & chats”. He’s pretty busy running the Stag challenge atm.

I have the same experience; I get closer, more comfortable shaves with a straight than with a DE.
Le Grand Large -- definitely not a tautology 😉

My son (who lives in France) is going to enjoy laughing at his old man over this.

You might acquire a new nickname over this!

Oh yes. He will know the correct meaning of the phrase le grand large. I can see what's coming.

Another shave after only ~12 hours to transition back to morning shaves for the week. Easy three passes with no irritation.

Forgot to post my last 2 shaves.
