Let me guess... Campaign for North Africa? Are they tracking their Pasta Points? (The Pasta Rule isnt actually a real rule)
EDIT: I knew it. Even the author says the game sucks in the game writings lol.

My friends tried to get me to play Axis and Allies once by telling me their last game went past sunrise.
I politely declined.

Some people love complicated, long board games, others hate them.
I love a good economy builder.

I used to play Axis and Allies with a roommate, we would routinely have a game on the living room table and play bits of it at a time.
That game's a monster

More complicated than the Cones of Dunshire? I don’t believe it

Are the cones a metaphor?
Well, yes and no…

I'm not cool enough to have a lot of experience with modern board games, but it seems like a lot of them should be computer games for all the fiddly stuff to track.

There are a variety of apps for tracking stats/modifiers and all sorts of other stuff for any popular modern board games I've gotten into.

This is my own bad take: I feel the same about ticket to ride. I do not want to count individual train cars to get my points or validate I did the route or that I have the longest train.
Me draw card. Me place car. You give score. That’s about as much as my caveman brain can handle

I mean don't sell yourself short, im sure you're plenty smart lol -- it's just time, i just cant spend eight hours tabletop gaming overnight like I used to when I was a lot younger.
