Was it really a big deal what Kyle Grass said on his birthday, that he wished the shooter did not miss (referring to Trump) in Australia? Kind of seems like he's been blacklisted along side Jack Black

Probably wasn’t the cleverest thing to say publicly, whether he meant it or not.

Having said that it was a complete overreaction - almost like he was cancelled. Kyle is just a dude who plays the guitar. Forget about it.

Jack Black has had a resurgence after that in movies so jot really sure he was canceled. But while filming Tenacious D hardly ever goes on tour. I get why Jack Black was afraid after Kyle said that publicly. But fuck 'em you should have kept playing.

My favorite part of the whole thing is that after KG posted an "apology", he deleted the post and didn't waste effort lying to try and save face with people offended by his statement. Fuck Trump, KG was right.

Metal and rock bands have always been trying to say and do provocative things because it's part of their act. The only reason this caught on is because Trump is such a powerful media presence that anything mentioning him automatically gets attention.

The Beatles: "we're bigger than Jesus"

RATM: "fuck the establishment and state tyranny"

Twisted Sister: dress in drag and criticize the status quo

GWAR: mock executions of state leaders

Ozzie: bites head off a bat

What an incendiary thing to say!

Can someone tell me what Jack Black said? I bet it was provocative!

Edit: Oh - Was Jack blacklisted for associating with Kyle?

Well, I guess those boys finally fell from the political good graces they so carefully maintained for so long.

Still, if Jack said anything rude about anyone powerful, I would like to hear it so that I can consider it in my future judgments.

Jack through Kyle under the bus to try and stay in the Democratic Party's good graces.

EnsignWashout@startrek.website · 2 pts · 2d

Wild. I will keep that in mind if I ever have a drink with either of them at a politcal fund-raising party.

Sort of, but I get it.

Jack's a bigger name than Kyle. By doing what he did, he's able to keep working and pull Kyle back into the public eye when it blows over.

You can bet it was loud.

I would've said the same thing. I mean, Trump has been spending every single day, rallying his voterbase for years, to commit violence among those he and they themselves, do not like. ICE has been treated like his personal modern day gestapo. I too wish that that the shooter didn't miss, would've saved millions in America so much hassle, trouble, stress and division.
