For nazi Germany jews, wasn't this not even the start of the holocaust, but several steps in. Like, 5-7 years into holocaust before the nazis just dropped the act of jews having any resemblance of rights and just declared them as 'not people' and fully stripped them of everything.
And these are the same people who March the streets preaching 'never again!'

Yea they learned a different “never again”.
When I learned in Germany (school) that this can never happen again it included ALL humans, not only Jewish people. I guess this is because I didn’t grow up religiously.
They learned “never again” exclusively for Jews.
They are doing what nazis did: systematic destruction of humans they deem problematic.

It's always been like this. Oct 7 just broke the dam on its public perception. You can read the writings of jabotinsky and Ben gurion and see the same belief in ethnic cleansing and conquest.

There’s been fifteen years or so, when I was chatting with a Israel chick who told me they need to make final solution for arabs people and kill them all. When I told her that she sounds like a nazi, she got mad, cursed me and claimed there’s nothing wrong with her opinion. She then blocked me but I wasn’t worried about that. I never forget her saying, it was unbelievable. But she makes me to change my perceptions about Israel.

That would be a pretty silly thing to think and demonstrates a very surface level understanding of the holocaust, Nazi Germany and the foundation of Israel. Though I can't really blame you or others that think that same way, Israel has worked diligently to turn the Holocaust into a moral shield for everything they do. So that people make the same assumption you do.

The hats only matter in that they're an indicator of the culture. The culture without the hats is a problem, the hats without the culture is not. Focusing only on the hats is focusing on a weird proxy for the actual issue.
