I proudly point to my wrinkles and point out this achievement unlocked by a million smiles. And my few chin hairs, that took me 45 years to grow! I think aging on a lady looks damn fine. Elegant and wise. My favourite are the ladies who look like they could curse you with inconvenience, with a flicker of an eyelid. They're my people. I aspire to that level of greatness. Blessed be all.
I see blokes talking about how long it took to grow their beards, and how long it took to become full. I put more effort in by years, why shouldn't I be proud. We can flip the narrative given to us, that only certain things are allowed to be celebrated. There are no rules, everything is made up. And a lot of the dialogue made up around women is designed to opress. I do not subscribe!
I do pluck them, tho because otherwise I give myself sores on my face fiddling with them, lol.
Personally I'm excited for my crone phase. All knowledgeable and wise and able to burst any ego balloon with a pin prick. I'm honing my witchy look. And unapologetically existing.
Aging has made me appreciate aging. So many of my loved ones many have not made it this far, to age is a blessing. Every year as I move towards the future I feel their losses even more, because I am not able to share my future with them.
Cancer has made me appreciate my body for being able to do what I can still do. Being able to move is a blessing, I love and thank my body every day for carrying me this far.
I just turned 48 yesterday, I am joyful to be alive, awake, and here, now. I feel like I have a whole other lifetime in front of me that will be quite different than the lifetime I had before and I just want to be here to appreciate it.

Not age per se, but the perspective that's gained from it.
When I was young and neurotic I wanted everybody to like me and put up with a lot of shit.
Now I'm old and neurotic, but no longer care if everybody likes me or not and don't put up with shit.

I read "bird app" and thought of what is now the cross app and I thought this would be a post about social media addiction.
