Did acme sell coyote the same stun glove they did to ice?

joyjoy@piefed.social · 4 pts · 2d

They made an anvil popcorn bucket, but it was so heavy, they only had time to make one.

He'd never get his hands on the Roadrunner anyway. He'd just shock himself.

“Turn off your adblocker”

No, I don’t think I will.

If you're getting that message, you need a better adblocker. Try Ublock Origin in Firefox (and NextDNS for non-Browser programs, both work on desktop and mobile).

Great; what do I do on iOS? Happens with uBlock plugin for safari and a PiHole.

passenger@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 2d (4 replies)

Firefox+ublock?

W98BSoD@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 1d (3 replies)

No plugins in Firefox on iOS.

passenger@sopuli.xyz · 0 pts · 1d (2 replies)

Ok, it seems all browsers on iOS are webkit (Safari).

I suggest to get an used Pixel and put GrapheneOS on it.

W98BSoD@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 17h (1 reply)

Sure. And you should sell that gas guzzler and buy a more fuel efficient vehicle.

passenger@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 16h

I don't have one, I bike and use public transport

NigelFrobisher@aussie.zone · 1 pts · 1d

Use Reader for Deadline.

I also have 1block free tier and adguard turned on, which seems to get most things.

Psythik@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 1d (5 replies)

You ditch iOS. There is no permanent workaround since Apple forces all browsers to be Safari with a skin.

Edit: Also from what I understand, PiHole only blocks on DNS-level, which is your problem, because DNS-level adblockers don't seem to have the ability to get around anti-adblockers the way Ublock Origin can.

Not in the EU, but no one’s made a capable Gecko or Chromium browser yet.

There are experiments, but they’re not prime-time ready.

ClassifiedPancake@discuss.tchncs.de · 0 pts · 16h (1 reply)

Who’s going to develop and maintain a browser just for the EU market?

dreamkeeper@literature.cafe · 2 pts · 14h

Probably someone in the EU. The EU isn't some small market, they have 450 million people.

W98BSoD@lemmy.dbzer0.com · -1 pts · 17h (1 reply)

Ok, and you sell that gas guzzler your driving for something more fuel efficient.

Psythik@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 8h

Okay, and you stop stalking my comment history.

I like my Z. I don't drive it because it's efficient (I have the Bolt EV for that), I drive it because it's fun, which is something you "fuck cars" people don't seem to get.

Regardless, corporations pollute way more in 5 seconds than my weekend car ever will over its entire lifetime. So get over yourself and let me have my fun.

Brave Browser

german@pawb.social · 3 pts · 16h (1 reply)

Brave is a cryptobro shithole grifter browser funded by Peter Thiel operating for profit. It’s as private as NordVPN - just PR’ed and marketed to shit, only larping to attract privacy conscious but misinformed people. Their business model is to develop their own ad platform and track you to shit. They swapped referral codes in, they track your downloads, they fucking promoted FTX - a notoriously obvious scam den, that is not software you want on your PC, made by people around which you would grip your kids and belongings tightly IRL

They don’t actually care for your privacy and its founder would most definitely sell your data to ICE given the chance.

Use these: Gecko-based: LibreWolf, Waterfox, Mullvad Browser Chromium-based: Cromite, Ungoogled Chromium

Specifically on iOS, use Orion, Reynard or straight up Safari - somehow even Safari is less dubious than Brave if you look at the network requests lol

Theil is one of the most evil creatures on this planet, and he holds Vance's leash. Nothing he is involved in should be used by the government, or anyone else.

W98BSoD@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 1 pts · 17h

Doesn’t work either.

Link@rentadrunk.org · 13 pts · 2d (3 replies)

Shame all my local cinemas don’t have any evening showings…

How are people who work during the day meant to see this film?

ZoteTheMighty@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 2d

The general vibe I get form the "Keep theaters alive" movement is that their target audience is kids, and families supervising the kids, but not adults. They do spend more money at theaters, and are generally comfortable with movies being worse, so it's a better value for shareholders.

cinoreus@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1d

Feel lucky your country even has shows. I skipped brand new day to watch this, just for me to learn coyote vs acme ain't gonna release in my country.

On an unrelated note, their anti piracy measures weren't upto the mark either. wink( was not gonna go this route, but come on, what option do I have?)

ElDuderino@lemmus.org · 3 pts · 1d

Piracy I guess.

Fishnoodle@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2d (3 replies)

Honestly after seeing the previews I'm pretty stoked for this movie

khannie@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2d (2 replies)

Same. Not stoked enough to go to the cinema for it but it's definitely a family movie with popcorn and treats one.

7.7 on IMDB which is very solid.

Dearth@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2d (1 reply)

7.7 for a kid comedy movie is pretty solid. Maybe i will go to the theater for it

mishielda1234@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2d

It's definitely worth seeing in the theater to prove to WB they.made the wrong decision to delete it for a tax break initially! It's a really fun movie!

StuffYouFear@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2d (1 reply)

Was thinking of seeing it tonight, only one theater is showing it for the Drafthouse, and it is a small showing. WTF Alamo Drafthouse

BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 16h

I'm probably going to go see it tomorrow, on discount day. I loved the old Looney Tunes cartoons, but I've hated the modern versions. I hear this is a combo of the two, so I'm curious to see it.

cheat700000007@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2d

Rip Batgirl lol

melsaskca@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 16h

Pre-internet, my own TV ad-blocker was going to the bathroom for a pee or the kitchen for a snack while the commercial played out. No subscription and it was free.

bowsertattoo@piefed.social · 1 pts · 2d

it was so good!
