This looks like AI slop

bryophile@lemmy.zip · 38 pts · 2d (15 replies)

Yes it does, I feel dirty after laughing because of AI slop. It's a good joke.

MrNobody@quokk.au · 111 pts · 2d (7 replies)

The original image is Russian neighbours.

Original image, yet not original text

If the Israelis are Russian Jews the original still works.

UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1d

Both is good.

bryophile@lemmy.zip · 0 pts · 2d

Ah yeah that works too, makes it less funny now it's stolen and AI slop at the same time

pinto@lemmy.world · -7 pts · 1d (1 reply)

Oh, I wonder why .ml edited it and then defends it.

UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1d

Not everyone on .ml supports wars of aggression.

RushLana@piefed.blahaj.zone · -9 pts · 2d (6 replies)

Not really a good joke, the neighbors have kippas but no sign they are israëllis aside from the speech bubble which is undermine the joke a little.

I would have added a israël flag somewhere ( and I may do so if I motivate myself to open gimp ).

dropdrip@lemmy.ml · 25 pts · 1d (5 replies)

Added some subtle context.

MumboJumbo@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 1d (3 replies)

I like where you're going with this, but needs more dead kids, for accuracy.

UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml · 1 pts · 1d (1 reply)

The stuff in the bottom right isnt a bunch of marijuana cigarettes?

MumboJumbo@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1d

I was torn between joints and sandwiches

lyralycan@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 1d

Holy shit, using the cutout of a victim of the Nazis goes hard

Found the source and post with link to the DeviantArt

Can't upload the image, annoyingly, as it's a jif

lyralycan@sh.itjust.works · 14 pts · 2d

Made/modified with Gemini, its four point star watermark is in the bottom right corner

cheesemoo@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 1d

To be fair, it only looks that way because it is.

GladiusB@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1d

Pitchforks?

There's water in the windows?

ThePantser@sh.itjust.works · 13 pts · 2d

The original it looks like they are supposed to be awnings but the AI fucked that.

No_Money_Just_Change@feddit.org · 8 pts · 2d (2 replies)

Could you add the artist? Looks a bit slop-y to me

CanadianCarl@sh.itjust.works · 9 pts · 2d (1 reply)

Sure, it is Google Gemini.

davel@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 2d

yogthos@lemmy.ml · -3 pts · 2d (9 replies)

I just love how the AI slop crowd always comes out of the woodwork as if every meme has to be crafted by an artisan. Just get over yourselves.

LogicalDrivel@sopuli.xyz · 12 pts · 2d (3 replies)

This took me like 30 seconds, didn't steal anyone elses work, and didn't use half a municipal water supplies worth of water to make. Feel free to down vote, but i think this is 1000x better than the crap "ai" churns out.

UltraGiGaGigantic@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1d

I am artistic and morbidly a beast.

yogthos@lemmy.ml · -1 pts · 2d (1 reply)

so brave!

LogicalDrivel@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 2d

👍

calmblue75@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1d (4 replies)

No, but seeing AI gen images makes some people feel icky, and I don't think that feeling is related to any expectation of memes being 'crafted by an artisan' or anything.

yogthos@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 1d (3 replies)

And people perseverating just adds noise to every conversation. People need to learn how to deal with feeling icky like grown adults.

petrol_sniff_king@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 0 pts · 1d (2 replies)

Nah, I think that AI users ought to be shamed and mocked publically. It doesn't really bother me that they find this frustrating.

yogthos@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 1d (1 reply)

You're not frustrating anybody, you're just a human slop generator adding noise to threads. If that's what you choose to dedicate your one life on this planet to being, that's your choice.

petrol_sniff_king@lemmy.blahaj.zone · -1 pts · 1d

But I am human, hehe. That's true. You are correct.

benjirenji@slrpnk.net · -6 pts · 2d (1 reply)

Dude, women don't wear Kippahs. Are you kidding? How bad is this "meme"?

pineapple@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 1d

It's just a man with long hair and wider than average hips.

Reason: Reason: AI slop, remove image

Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it · 1 pts · 2d (12 replies)

Oh so you are pro-AI?

davel@lemmy.ml · 5 pts · 2d (11 replies)

I’m not anti-AI, and neither is lemmy.ml. The only explicitly pro-AI instance is dbzer0, AFAIK.

My stance on AI is similar to that of @yogthos@lemmy.ml » A Marxist Perspective On AI

Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it · 8 pts · 2d (9 replies)

I pretty much disagree with the "...democratizing creativity..." because creativity was never a thing that only a few selected people can use, it's comes in the human package

davel@lemmy.ml · -1 pts · 2d (8 replies)

Anyone can be creative, but most are not good illustrators, myself included.

Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it · 9 pts · 2d (7 replies)

Neither i am, but it can be learnt, you see my pfp? I drew it, i couldn't do it some months ago! I thought i wouldn't ever be able to

Her? I drew her myself too, 5 months ago i said "hell naw i can't draw, i tried but i just can't!" and now i proved myself wrong, i could do it, and i did it, i was so fucking wrong

It's not the best art piece of course but that's because i barelly train myself and don't have any expirience; you can also just trace over photos or art if you need to, there is no shame on that and many professional artists also do that

Edit: I get that someone may not want to learn how to draw but for that there are art commissions

yogthos@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 2d (5 replies)

Anything can be learned given enough time, but the reality is that people only have so much time in their day. If you have the inclination and time to spend learning how to draw, that's fantastic and good for you. But doing that is an opportunity cost of learning how to do something else.

Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it · 3 pts · 2d

Hence the edit

davel@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 2d

I don’t disagree with anything you just said. I can’t draw nearly that well, but then I’ve never really spent the time. I’ve learned a lot of things, but can’t learn everything; there are only so many hours in a life 🤷

slacktoid@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 2d

Oh shit this is dope! Thanks

davel@lemmy.ml · -11 pts · 2d (5 replies)

People get so worked up over AI-generated memes. They’re just memes, folks. They’re not taking away anyone’s livelihood, and they’re not going to be hung in the Louvre. They’re ephemeral.

Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it · 7 pts · 2d (3 replies)

Except that to make that shit they wasted 10x times the resources that are needed to change the text from the original meme with photoshop/GIMP/whatever and contributed to damage artists by using a collage machine of other people's art

yogthos@lemmy.ml · 0 pts · 2d (2 replies)

This is what happens when you refuse to actually understand how anything works. These kinds of images can now be generated by small models running on your laptop. For example, Z-Image Turbo is just 6b params and will run on even modest hardware.

Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it · 0 pts · 2d (1 reply)

That's why i said 10 times and not 50

yogthos@lemmy.ml · 3 pts · 2d

One made up number is no better than another. The point is that generating images doesn't take any more power than most other things people use a computer for. So, what makes it so special that is needs to be singled out?

pinto@lemmy.world · -5 pts · 1d

Socialism is when you use corporate AI. You have your brains cooked by the heat from GPUs spinning.

Communism will happen any day now with these top minds.

Banning me because you got called out, Lol cry harder halfwit
