Anthropic researchers are saying this because they are bleeding money and desperately need the hype to keep going. Value gained vs. Costs for tokens is simply unsustainable, and increasing evidence of model degradation. Add to that an obsession with synthetic data, and we are in a bit of a peak / bubble.

Then why the fuck did they program it that way? Is the reason they call them "researchers" instead of developers because they don't actually know what they are fucking doing?
