I was listening to the Jon Stewart podcast, and the journalist said that they have a long list of distractions to pull from. Apparently, "We'll give you free checks" is on the list.

Why does this blindly get spread around? Like he is still Trump, he is still an ass, so what do you expect? Also “lunges and growls” is not even remotely what I would use to describe the scene.

They're downplaying the type of aggressive behavior you absolutely never want to witness a goddamn president do. He literally realizes where he is and stops himself from getting physical with her.

Regular interview setting. Trump answers question of reporter A. After he finishes, all the reporters shout questions at the same time to grab his attention. Trump looks at reporter B. Reporter A continues to shout. Trump says “Not you” to reporter A, making a stop movement with his hand, then looks at reporter B again. Reporter A continues to shout. Trump leans forward to reporter A and says again “not you”. He adds “you and your network are terrible”. He then continues to look at reporter B, which is where the video ended.

My personal interpretation: reporter A showed disrespectful behavior by trying to grab Trump’s attention, after already getting a question answered. She does clearly not get the hint that her turn is over. What Trump then did was in my oppinion not aggressive at all. He does not lunge at her, he merely leans a bit forward and repeats the simple words again.
