"When you privatize an airport, the only way for the big investors to make money is by either making it more expensive for you to fly or by cutting the wages of the people who work there, or both. And neither sound good to me," Kinew said during a press conference at the Manitoba Legislative Building.

Carney sure is making room for the NDP to rise as as the true opposition, or true governing party at the provincial level. Helps that Poilievre is decimating the Conservatives.

Poilievre isn't decimating the Conservatives, they are entirely doing it to themselves as they had no plan other than be maple MAGA. Take away culture wars and they have nothing. A one party system is bad for Canada.

Good point. But to be fair, it didnt sound like the leadership election was all that clean. Choose a far area, add a massive ticket cost, screen some, dont allow electronic participation. The electorate jumped, he didnt.

Not the biggest issue to me personally, but this has definitely made some easy fodder for the NDP in general. I don't think I've talked to a single Manitoban that supports the privatization of airports.
