Favorite Costco buys

The $5 rotisserie chicken has a permanent spot on my Costco shopping list.

That $1.50 hotdog and drink combo. Always make sure to have lunch there during our Costco run days.

KL pesto is the best storebought pesto i've had. very summery

Blueberries. In huge quantities.

Kirkland bacon, Kirkland cheddar cheese block.

Rotisserie chicken and the Olympus brand Greek Yoghurt - but the absolute definite buy every time is still the 1.50 hot dog and drink, I feel like I'd lose money **not **buying that deal.

I can't believe I've looked at this burgeoning list and no one has mentioned wine or fine cheeses (I like to buy the imported goat and sheep ones myself).

We also regularly buy organically-raised/grown veggies and fruits, the big boxes of Sunkist oranges when they have them, and the wild-caught fish, of various types. When they have them. And the sardines. :)

Finally, I got my second Shringrix vaccination at a Costco pharmacy.

The Rao's 2 pack. It's the cheapest I've seen that sauce anywhere and a great pantry staple. Also the vanilla extract and vanilla beans are way cheaper than anywhere and surprisingly high quality.

I'm a sucker for their chocolate chip cookies. Although, now that a package of them is going for 10 bucks it's a bit harder of an impulse buy.

I'm addicted to peanut butter pretzels, and the Kirkland brand are the best.

Bulk meat, rice, seaweed, yogurt n nuts

Rotisserie chicken obviously. Even if I'm returning something and need nothing else, I go pick up a chicken and strip the meat and freeze it in a foodsaver bag (**much ** easier to do when the chicken is still warm).

Kewpie mayo, frozen ramen, frozen pizza, budlight (especially cheap right now, usually 75 cents a beer), prosecco

Favorite buy ever?

Probably the PowerBook 100 I bought there in the early 90's. Still have it and I think it would even boot up.

Regular buys: the fresh croissants, the cranberry walnut bread. My Costco just started carrying King Arthur pizza flour, which is amazing.

Spinach ravioli. There was a time late pandemic where they disappeared and stock has gone in and out since then. I get a little nervous when I get to the freezer isle to look for them.

Their sneakers are phenomenal for the price

Pecans, dried mango, prunes. Sometimes the brioche buns. If I'm feeling naughty, the apple/cherry/cream cheese pastries. I love these threads because it gives me ideas for the next trip.

Morning Summit! It's expensive, but by far my favorite cereal.

Oatmeal raisin cookies are really good!

The long shrimp they have, and a lot of the frozen foods honestly. It's quick, I know it'll taste good, and it's pretty well priced.

Diapers for my kids. So much cheaper than anywhere else.

They have really great steaks. I'm also a huge fan of that green chili salsa. 🤤

The Kirkland Dog Food is fantastic. My dogs vote for the Salmon and Sweet Potato flavor! I happen to like the Kirkland Fully Cooked Bacon. I also love the Goolsby Sausage - but my local Costco goes out of stock on it all the time.

Orgain Organic Protein. Always a great price on these and they usually have at least 3 flavors.

I'm absolutely addicted to the Kirkland smoked salmon. Had to stop looking in that section - my doctor's pretty upset with my sodium levels, can't tempt myself with another purchase... but it's so good!

THE DOG

For me it’s the Kirkland Organic Marinara, rotisserie chicken, and paper goods.

Every trip we gotta get: Diapers Organic walnuts Roasted pistachios Beef jerky Mangos

Most of our ingredients for meals are from local sources, so a lot of the time it feels like our Costco trips are just buying $200 worth of snacks. They're good snacks though.

I'll must buy avocados next trip.

It's the Nature's Bakery fig bars for me, and the KS nut bars

Kirkland Organic Peanut Butter

Large bags of salted roasted cashews! Much better value than at Trader Joe's.

Boudin sourdough crackers, cheese puffs with a pirate in the logo, Portofino tuna, and Modelo micheladas/michelada mix

Gotta buy at least one tub of “Plaisir Gastronomiques” brand of bruschetta every time I’m in there. It’s so good I just shovel it in my face with a spoon as soon as I get home.

Pop-corn, Cape Cod Chips, minced garlic, roasted almonds, hamburger patties.

Am I the only shopper who buys a hot dog and a cheese slice, tosses the dog bun, rolls the dog into the pizza slice and narfs out?

Peaches.

I love peaches....but they have to be GOOD peaches. There's nothing worse than taking a big bite out of a substandard peach that's either dry or not sweet or mealy. Costco produce pickers must be pretty strict about the peaches they take because every peach season, Costco seems to get peaches that are an order of magnitude better than anything I find in my other local grocery stores.

So, when they are in season (usually mid July to end of August) - I'll pick up a flat of peaches ever other week from Costco.
