I was in your place 3 months ago.. Mine was also 16, we had a special bond, that cat was my baby, it still hurts terribly. One thing I would recommend that has helped me in an unexpected way is having a small space in my room dedicated to her.. A nice carved wooden "urn" box, one of my favorite pictures of her framed and her favorite toy next to it.. Also a bud vase I rotate flowers from my garden in. Not sure why it helps, maybe because it feels like one last way to honor them and do one more thing for them, and that feels nice.
Hang in there, there's no easy way through this. Hopefully the above suggestion can help bring you some peace, I'm still working through regaining my own.
Some unsolicited advice from your not so local e-bike tech...
Consider getting yourself some nicer brakes on that beast for those hills. Amazon ebikes typically come pretty under-equipped in that department, especially with the fat tire bikes and their weight.. for the past few years now, I can't tell you how many of those types of bikes come in our shop with failed brakes. If/when they go (hopefully not while you're riding down a hill like that one), name brand brakes like tektro (e350s at the least), magura(mte4's or greater), and shimano are a safe bet. Might want to consider a four piston brake if you regularly ride hills.
Also, I'd make sure that battery is UL listed. Otherwise, keep the battery out of your house.. Another treat from the more "economical" brands available on Amazon is selling fire hazards with no BMS.
The irony is not beyond me in saying this, but.. I hope someone nukes Israel off the map, enough of this shit. Fuck your "promised land", terrorist pieces of shit.
Neem oil is a great natural way to get rid of them.
Put about a tablespoon or so of Neem oil into a spray bottle with slightly warm water (maybe 8-10oz) and a couple drops of dish soap. Shake it up and soak them.
Only thing I'd caution against with this is spraying your produce or herbs, because the Neem does have a scent that could throw off the flavor of things. Looks like a lily of sorts here so you'd be fine
Spend the first week with your mom up in Chiang Mai, go to "elephant nature park" up there, one of the few who actually are a real elephant sanctuary for rescued elephants and treat them well. You can feed, touch, and bathe them, it's an awesome experience. There's also great cooking classes to do that take you through the markets where you try different foods as you collect your ingredients to cook with later.
If your mom is open minded enough, go to the ladyboy cabaret, it's good fun, I've literally seen families there before, it's not x-rated stuff, just good song and dance with humor mixed in.
Night market every night, and Sunday walking street both offer tons of shopping and excellent street food options everywhere you go for literal miles. Don't miss out on the best Khao soi of your life.
See the temples, Doi Suthep offers an unmatched view of the valley Chiang Mai lies in. Doi Inthanon is high enough of a climb in elevation that you get serious relief from the heat, and there are waterfalls to visit along the way, makes a great day trip.
Spend a couple days up in Pai to enjoy a peaceful hippie-ish town with beautiful views (about 3 hour drive by car). If you make the trip up here, you might as well go to the white temple in Chiang Rai - I can't vouch for that one but it looks sweet!
Week two - fly yourself down to Phuket for the beach and nightlife. Go to a full moon party, do some shrooms or whatever floats your boat. Tons of bars and clubs in the area for you too.
Also, if you're up for something not as much of a party but still incredible while you're there, look up John Gray sea canoe tours. They do the best day trips out in the bay, take you to a couple different hongs where you kayak under these caves into lagoons, see bats, monkeys, all kinds of cool shit.. They cook you good food on the boat.. You can do overnight trips where you camp on a tiny island you have to yourselves.. Highly recommend them.
I spent a couple months in Thailand in college (over the summer months) so I'm always encouraging others to see it, even in the hotter months - don't let weather discourage you. The people, the sights, and the food far outweigh any bad weather you might encounter. I liked it enough to bring my wife back for our honeymoon years later, we had an awesome time.
I was summoned last year. Didn't get selected for the jury but did still spend two days listening to the selection process and info on the case.
It was a sad one, DUI. Mother was driving and went head on into another car, her own 4-5y.o. daughter died in the accident.
Her and her boyfriend looked like trouble, exactly what you'd picture when you think of a couple driving under the influence and getting their own daughter killed out of their negligence and stupidity.. Sad that they were able to have kids in the first place, some people should be fucking sterilized. I heard a few months back that she got some bullshit slap on the wrist sentence - she was sure to get pregnant before sentencing, figuring that factored into a lighter sentence. I know she's probably already suffered plenty knowing what she did, but I have a hard time feeling sympathy for someone who does something as gross as what she chose to do and feel she deserved a decade or more, not a year or two.
There's people serving more time for possession of weed in this country than others who are responsible for the death of someone.
Same. It was tempting to get a jab in, but I know they get more $ that way.
Your mother
Here's one I got last month on some wildflowers in my yard. Pretty sure this guy was asleep here, was motionless for a while

Tell me you're an American without telling me you're an American.

The amount of dead birds you see on it is always a little depressing.
Nice view, what're you riding? Can't zoom in enough to see and I'm curious!
Nuke Israel.
It's okay, they've only lost over a million people so far, and they still have all those women and children to send into the meat grinder.
Everyone knows this, of course. Kevin Mitnick..

What is this pied a terre tax if not a tax on the rich?

Don't let the heat scare you away from Thailand.
