Have you lived abroad for some time? Because I felt similar towards my home culture, still sort of do, but learned to appreciate it more after having lived in different cultures for some years.

Ich habs gemacht mit einem gebrauchten X10+. Das PCB hab ich von wem aus der Community zugeschickt bekommen, da gibt es Gruppen zum Anfragen. Als Roboter und PCB da waren, war die Sache an einem Nachmittag fertig. Ohne Löten, alles am PC nach Anleitung auf der Valetudo Webseite gemacht.

Might I suggest https://www.comaps.app/ instead of Organic Maps.
CoMaps is a truly open source fork, whereas it is questionable in Organic Maps case.
