I suppose I have. But it's not a conscious feeling, it feels like an unconscious one. It's a weird feeling between my heart and my brain and it permeates the rest of my body until I can change the subject. That's why I say it's a visceral reaction.
Kpop Demon Hunters looks interesting but god damn if I had to choose between watching that and running full force into a brick wall id rather run into the brick wall. Like it makes me uncomfortable to wanna watch popular stuff. The more popular it is the worse the feeling.
K-pop Demon Hunters irks me especially cus, I'm not gonna lie— Them Korean boys be hot asf, and now you're adding DEMONS to the mix? like— girl I cant be doin this shit, fuck no, its like they're just trying to entice me and god damn it I refuse to let it happen 😭😭😭 K-pop almost hooked me in middle school I ain't gonna let it happen again 😩
Junji Ito was the absolute SHIT when i first found out about it, and then Hot Topic started pushing a buncha merch for it and now you just have these lame ass posers walking around with Tomie hoodies not even knowing who tf Tomie is. It was at that moment I just stopped reading Junji Ito all together. LIKE WHY?? I loved his books!!! What makes things different now??
I think it's just that I'm afraid that I'll end up enjoying it. Like some of the mainstream shit looks interesting(?) The Amazing Digital Circus is one that piqued my interest for a few seconds, I remember watching some out-of-order episodes of One Piece before anime became mainstream and I liked it.
Another fear I have is that it'll make me easier to be advertised to or make me more vulnerable to falling into trends/merch or whatever. Im scared that if I do watch K-pop Demon Hunters and enjoy it, then like— I dont know how to put it into words, but It'll make me apart of that mindless mainstream crowd that'll just give any brand their money regardless of what they're selling because "POPULAR BRAND I LIKE IS DOING A COLLAB WITH KPOP TEEHEE" I dont wanna give these shitass corporations my money, but I also wanna be able to enjoy something and know what other people are talking about when they reference popular things.
I just dunno how to put it into words... It's as if the aura of the people that surround all these shows and movies makes me wanna subtract my head and limbs into my body like a turtle from how bad it makes me cringe
I dont wanna self-diagnose myself out of fear as becoming or being viewed some variant of those "Mentally ill TikTok girls" that fake their mental health diagnoses for attention. I don't do what I do for attention, I just do it because idk it just happens, idk... Half the time I genuinely cant control the shit that comes out of my mouth 😭😭
But I also feel like the diagnosis could explain a lot of my behaviors that ADHD may not be able to explain
What if I'm attracted to both the race and culture? Im black but I've always been drawn to asian dudes cus I really like the alt-fashion trends in their country? I don't explicitly chase after them (im aromantic anyways), but I admire em.
Nah I aint givin this fucker my bank account. I do wanna troll the shit out of em but idk how to go about it other than just wasting his time by yapping about random shit
I wasn't planning on accepting a check from some rando online. That much common sense I do have. I will admit I am a bit of an idiot for entertaining them because I deadass CANNOT help myself.
I lowkey-highkey just wanna fuck with em in some way or waste his time. I used to troll fake VRchat model artists with zip bombs, but I've never really encountered a check scam before, so I was curious about it, hence why I asked.
I already know it's a scam, but I was curious on the specifics of the scam. I like learnin about shit and was curious
Not even sure, they were a low level player and dont seem to play all that much anyways. The fact they wanted to add me on discord to chat there was sus enough for me. But I just wanted to lead em on cus i was curious where it would go
Its called 13th. Its on netflix but I watched it for free on youtube. Its about how racism evolved over the years and became less of overt racism and more abstract
Lemmy is not that bad? (I say as someone who only checks into this place every month or so)

I mean I've asked them and they think I do have some autistic traits, just not as extreme as theirs may be.

i doubt myself alot, and then I doubt my own self doubt. I know its a scam but for whatever reason I cant help but still cast doubt on myself. idk why
Thanks G

Its too late. THEY'RE IN MY WALLS.
Not even sure, they were a low level player and dont seem to play all that much anyways. The fact they wanted to add me on discord to chat there was sus enough for me. But I just wanted to lead em on cus i was curious where it would go
Ooohhhh okay
Aw damn. So I can't even just take the money and run huh?
Any way I could maybe mess with them before I block em? I feel a tad bit devious, especially after sorta leading em on like this ùwú
Yeahh im aware, but the curiosity what what it is they were trynna do had me titillated 🥴 I wanted to see how it'd play out
Ohhhh. Ive never really heard about check fraud scams. How do these work?
that just sounds like anti-natalism and those people kinda weird me out
