Im still surprised that opensuse still exists. We had to give it a try for networking classes back in ~2007 and it was very server oriented and totally didnt have a desktop feel.
It has become more complicated. You are forgetting to mention that there is now os' running on consoles that you also need to emulate. And if you dont want to emulate that, youd need to emulate the actual hardware in more detail ( + need data dumps of consoles ) and have to emulate the chips with all its co-processors and securities. Encryption cores/engines, mmu's, hypervisors, ...
Back on the gamecube and wii days you had to emulate... The cpu, nand ( or bios ) and disc drive. All games had all information anf software contained on the disc or channel. Thats it.
And yes, ps4 was , for example, a x86 cpu. But that doesnt mean its instantly compatible with your pc. The architectures and features are completely different.
For example, ps5 has a feature that the gpu can read from the ssd without passing cpu or ram. While some pc's can now do it too, this was long not the case.
And there are other things too ( no bios, no pch iirc, completely different os design/syscalls, ... )
Id need to look it up, but apparently it was 100% a red card and multiple people and instances have quoted the rule book itself and its subsections stating it was indeed, a foul worthy of a red card and that no retraction of the suspention should happen.
And as said before too, red cards can get reduced if its more than one match. This was a single match so no, no reduction.
There is a risk if the wiring of your place is bad, or the wiring outside your place is bad, or if there is no protection against over current/voltage for your neighbours, or ...
There is a lot of hurdles to be overcome, but in general we have tackled them all already.
For example, here it is only legal to produce 800W with plugin installations and the transformers need to be certified on sale ( not installation ).
That certification regulates what it should do if there is no power on mains ( = produce nothing ), that it should use mains to be in sync with mains power, that it should not produce more than 800W, and should not push in more power when voltage on mains is more than 6V over spec ( aka, 246V is ok but is the limit. Above that can causr damage ).
Weve had solar for years now and a lot of the hurdles have been fixed.
( remember when at the start you could cause damage at your neighbours home because your panels raised the voltage too high? Good times )
Either case, even if i pay some money to put power back on the grid, every watt i generate is a watt i didnt pay in usage. Days like these my apartment fully lives of the 400W my plugin set generates during the afternoon
Did some more testing on it? This isnt a small model and i havent found the space to save it on my machines yet haha
