Like I said, actually getting people to understand that they have more in common with the poorest, queerest, immigrant than they do with a white cishet billionaire is really difficult, but the best way to do it is to redirect the conversation from minority groups to the actual problem. For example, if someone complains that immigrants are stealing their jobs then don't start with a denial or disagreeing with them. Say, "you're right. Companies hiring undocumented immigrants for less than or just minimum wage does depress wages for Americans. Companies that do this should be adequately punished and we should streamline our process for getting documents for undocumented immigrants. That way companies can't take advantage of them or depress the wages of americans either." Some people won't listen bc they don't want to learn, but if you keep trying eventually some people will listen and learn
Also try to get them to understand just how much money a trillion or even a billion dollars is

I'm pretty sure there was a study done that found that people with lower incomes tend to spend their extra money on experiences and such (tattoos, games, etc.) rather than save and invest. And they do that bc they figure they aren't gonna have the money for long so might as well do something enjoyable with the money when they do have some extra. Whereas people who have higher incomes often have some extra money, so they can make plans and invest with the expectation that they will have more extra money later
Certain members of my family would come after me for "causing trouble" if I called someone out like that. They'd be like "you should really deal with that sort of thing privately. Like yes he was in the wrong but you could've handled that better." Luckily, the rest of my family would then go after those certain family members for saying that

As for putting together a step by step plan, I'm not a city planner, just like you're presumably not actually working on developing self driving cars. Where I live isn't a fully walkable 15 minute community but it's still pretty damn convenient. Within a 20-30 min walk to me we got a grocery store, library, post office, liquor store and breweries, auto shop, and a few small apartment buildings. Other than that it's mostly just houses. Lots of people have cars but still have access to most daily essentials (aside from their actual place of work) within walking distance. Lots of people in the USA don't even have a grocery store within a 30 min driving distance, let alone walking distance. That's the sort of thing that walkable communities aim to fix

Other counties have walkable cities. Some cities in America are even walkable. It just means that we need to adjust our zoning laws and actually invest in our communities (including low density suburban and rural communities). We invest insane amounts of money into car infrastructure that could be going towards public transit. This would help not just people who don't/wouldn't own a car if public transit were realistically available to them, but it would also help people who choose to still own a car bc it would actually decrease traffic unlike adding another lane to a highway
For a lot of people with eating disorders any comment about their appearance and attractiveness will only fuel the eating disorder. If they get lots of compliments when they're dangerously skinny then they'll obviously conclude "this is good I need to be skinny/skinnier." However, when people say things like you did like "they were cuter before" it almost always spirals the person into trying to "fix" their appearance even more

So even if you're trying to say something positive, that's not necessarily going to be the effect it has on the person. This is why it's important to generally center the discussion around having a healthy lifestyle rather than appearance (actually being healthy, not when people use the word "healthy" to disparage anyone bigger than a size 2)
Also additional note that isn't necessarily to do with this conversation, but people with eating disorders will often have their weight fluctuate drastically. Bc their eating habits are so inconsistent, their bodies get used to holding onto as much as they can, so it's common for people with eating disorders to rapidly gain weight and then rapidly lose it, in a cycle. And of course, when they lose the weight people will compliment them usually, thus fueling the eating disorder. This is why it's generally best to never comment on someone's weight unless you know them really well and they've specifically been talking about losing weight in a healthy way. (And even then the focus should be on the benefits of the change like "you seems so much more energetic now/you look more comfortable in yourself" rather than their weight directly)

I think part of the problem is also that these delivery drivers aren't wage employees. They're technically self employed/contractors for these companies. Which means that the rules about pay and minimum wage are slightly different
I don't know of a single person who drives their own car for these delivery apps that makes a significant profit after taking into account their milage/gas costs. Many people actually claim a loss if their vehicle isn't very fuel efficient and they aren't being efficient about doing multiple deliveries on one route. The only people I know who make decent money are those that do deliveries with a bike. So while Mamdani can help the situation a little with city ordinances and stuff, what we really need is federal regulation on these companies
