Short form videos are extremely addictive. Once the algorithm knows what engages you, it is difficult to stop. And for people who used to use Facebook or who used to use the image sharing on Instagram, meta already knows what to serve them. If people only just try it once, maybe out of curiosity, maybe because someone shared a link, they will have a hard time stopping.
Normal algorithmic feeds are bad enough. But short form videos are on a whole different level.
It's cold because it has a large thermal mass and nothing heating it up.
Human civilization produces a lot of heat. The thermal mass means it might take years or decades to reach its heat equilibrium. But that equilibrium will be excruciatingly hot.
Halfing the number of platforms certainly doesn't help either.
There's currently a lot of support to finish building the station and keep the old station open anyway. Traffic has increased after all. But they already sold the land the railway switches of the station sit on.
Human internal clocks get advanced about an hour each day by exposure to light. Living in perpetual darkness (or under light bulbs only) wrecks hell on the system.
Plus you need some way to get rid of excess heat. Human society uses a lot of energy. That all turns into heat eventually.
With most digital media these days you don't buy the actual media. You buy a lifetime license. For your life or the life of the host platform. Whichever is shorter.
Take sick days? Are they stuck in 2019?

Back in the day this is something clipart would have been used here. Clipart is almost as soulless.
