I have also never read the books but that last season throws every character development out the window in a show all about characters and just rushes through scenes ignoring any build up to conclude to whatever shit the writers thought no one would ever guess because it was more important for them to not be guessed than to make it make sense.

It is objectively a horrible season, doubly so in contrast to the first one.

Yeah this type of satire has lost all meaning and amusement when we realized there are many people taking this shit seriously and they have voting rights.

I don't think there's any positive environmental impact tbh. Plastics made from petrol tend to be made from by-products of the gas industry and are cheap and readily available. Plastics made from bio-sources sound eco, but actively require land and water to produce and it's not like they break down somehow better when released in the environment so are in fact net worse. Sounds like green washing to me.

Technically a great filter would assume the species is extinct before it goes intergalactic, but if billionaires can somehow survive on their own on a wasteland planet and achieve long range travel and leave a detectable mark on the universe, then the filter did not in fact apply even with a fraction of the population remaining. The great filter doesn't care if the working class gets to be the one to leave the mark, only that the species overall does. Also the marks left can just be endless capitalistic destruction and ruin.

We may be inteligent as a species but we are not wise. Since we exist already as a species in this universe, adding just one attribute doesn't seem that outlandish to obtain a better more successful version of us that can avoid the filter. Even for us, we don't yet know if the filter is real and if it will apply to us or we will only cause it to other unfortunate species that share the same planet as us.

Every little thing in the car has a computer and they have kilometers of wire connecting it all. You would need hundreds of Raspberry PIs with CAN and LIN communication capabilities.

While developing a new car each of those computers has a team of developers and testers working for two or more years on that single thing, so in total a few thousand people have touched just the electronics in that car. Even if they cared about your privacy no single person would ever be able to know for sure what software is running on what hardware in every corner of that car.

The only way you'd get a feasible DIY car is with 1950s or 60s technology which is illegal to sell in most developed economies.

How are you this thick that absolutely everyone you interacted with in this thread has said you are out of touch and you just refuse to even entertain the idea. You are the real life "it's the children who are wrong" meme.
