I agree with you but I'm chuckling at all the anger you're getting over this comment. Should've seen that one coming!

I love that asterisk. Who's it for? How many people are ok with that word but only if it's censored

Pick a side!

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Dinner is at midday, what are you playing at having 2 meals at midday and no evening meal? Get back to France

Ok it was a deliberately silly example for emphasis. Here's a real example. I went to Australia once and in the airport somebody referred to my Mentos as "lolly". To me, lollies are on a stick. Apparently not to aussies. It threw me off for half a second, but that's it. Confused is an overstatement.

Hard to say because for every useful suggestion, there's a chance somebody else has already bought it. Some things I'd have found useful - a nappy changing setup, with plenty of nappies and wipes and cream and maybe a changing mat. Sleeping bags. Boring clothes (vests, onesies). Professional cleaner. Takeaway voucher. If you can check what they already have that would help. Or if all else fails, get nappies and wipes.

The one certain piece of advice I can give is DON'T BUY TOYS.

So many toys...

Why is this usage of tea so confusing for everybody? We re-use words all the time in English. It's a very simple concept. Imagine if a musician asked about the key of a song and everybody was like "KEY? LIKE A CAR KEY? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? SONGS DONT HAVE KEYS! IVE NEVER BEEN SO CONFUSED IN MY LIFE"

Up north we say "tea" for evening meal. That's it. Explanation sorted.

Unless someone’s intolerant, we can’t tolerate that

That and the Dutch.

That paradox is on display in this thread! People are telling me my beliefs would be wrong because my beliefs are that other people's beliefs are wrong and you're not allowed to believe that other people's beliefs are wrong. But what if I only believe their beliefs are wrong because their beliefs discount other beliefs?

So much easier to ignore the whole lot of it and let people do what they want. I should probably stop replying in this thread now ha. Thanks for the friendly message. Peace!

Accepting that they believe in a religion is a slight difference in wording there. It's not hard to understand. Bangladesh gets it.

I believe in religion X. Religion X has a magic guy in charge who dictates all acceptable behaviour. He literally defines unacceptable behaviour. Some people believe religion Y. Religion Y dictates different behaviour. Unacceptable. Religion Y is UNACCEPTABLE
