I had to take a background check last year that essentially gave them the rights to reach out to anybody that has possibly known me my entire life.

For a job I was already working. So incredibly invasive.

They used to be called "Dunkin Donuts", I think the name changed to "Dunkin". They are a widely known brand in the United States.

I've never been to their coffee shops but the coffee you can buy of theirs at the grocery store is alright.

Its convenience but also around here, the private coffee shops that aren't commercialized are more expensive.

The coffee on it's own is brewed poorly aka burned, however; if you order a specialty coffee with lots of sugar and milk then its alright.

I believe its intentionally made that way because it makes sense for the quality control of the specialty coffee mix drinks that people buy. Their premade refrigerated drinks are okay at best but I wouldn't not drink one if somebody gave me one for free.

Clearly Lemmy isn't their target market demographic and the people that keep buying it are not going to boycott the product.

Best Buy used to use their own employees in Geek Squad to do in home services which was helpful for people that needed a home theater setup or appliance setup. The company now uses a bunch of third party contractors though so I imagine its only time that enough people realize their services are useless now.

At one point a third party installer killed their customer and burned the house down. I think that was in Florida. I have no idea how that didn't crumble their business model of using a third party service.

I lived in an HOA neighborhood for a year with no issues. I didn't like the neighborhood because it was cookie cutter but the HOA never made any complaints to us.

Our driveway got plowed because of the HOA so that was nice.

Neighborhood was not very attractive in the sense that there were barely any trees in any of the yards.

I have to use chrome and edge for work. I was specifically told we aren't approved to install Firefox..

Chrome is convenient for getting into gmail but that's about it.

I don't want AI music; however Spotify has made great playlist of recommended artist of music I like.

There platform also works correctly for listening on WiFi which Tidal did not.

I think they will learn quickly that people don't like AI generated music. If people do end up liking it, then I'm sad because so far Spotify recommendations is something I talked highly about in past years.
