It's a bad take, open source projects can be spun out to whatever branch you want and not needing a host support to keep it going..that's why browser like brave can have its own hard coded adblock without relying on extensions like ublock and things like manifest V2 and V3 support, as it doesn't need it as it has nothing to do with Google other than using their open source engine.

I was about to get insulted but I almost closed the lid on the laptop by accident and now have to make sure my cloude still operational on the task I gave it, so I can't be rerouting my attention span resources

Exactly this. I have tried many different distros, but I always end up sticking with mint for casual day use and pop os for gaming with my Nvidia GPU laptop. Mainly, because easy of use and simplicity on daily drivers and because pop os is the only distro that fixes the issue with Nvidia rtx cards being fed full wattage instead of constraining it to mere 60% cap for whatever reason, which hurt my gaming performance in return drastically until I have figured out what is happening. Pop os has its own share of problems tho, mainly the WiFi adapter driver issue where it doesn't like invisible SSID's, so it keeps dropping the connection every minute unless you unhidd your SSID.

Get a proper top class panel TV that's dumb and do rasp pi as a firestick, or just run it as 24/7 mini pc connected to the TV that has ad free YouTube, free movies, free everything really if you know what's up.

It cost like 7 euros a year to run it 365 days 24/7

Can someone circle the joke for me?

Iran winning the war just shows how weak US really is. Best of all, Trump as being a big loser as he is still trying to sell it as he made something big for his country. In reality, however , Iran will get to collect money for every ship going through (up to 70 billion a year), the economy will takes years to recover, the oil facilities will take months to crank up again, the amount of money he spent doing nothing will burden Americans for generations. What a way to be a loser, small hands.

Because every ship is now being paid for to swim through there you can expect everything to jump in price.

I like using Lemmy over Reddit which I don't have anymore because it is much slower pace and I tend to open the app maybe once a week instead of scrolling Reddit an hour a day. Since Lemmy is less active it is also less bombarded with doom scrolling, hopefully more AI slop prone and less toxic overall because I don't use the comments section that often anymore.
