That's super easy to fix with tools like entr. That's what I use when I write Markdown documents so I can automatically generate the plain text file to a PDF document using Pandoc, and preview it simply by saving the file in Neovim. :)

I highly doubt that you don't know a single thing about AI, the climate crisis, the computer parts crisis, the datacenter/human health crisis and a lot of other things.

AFAIK. All major clients for XMPP is open source and gratis.

Two good options for Android is Conversations and Snikket. Both are available on F-Droid and Google Play Store. Conversations on GPS is a donationware version though.

On iOS you have Snikket and Monal.

On the desktop you have Gajim. I think it's available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS.

You also need an account. Conversations offers accounts for free over at https://account.conversations.im/. There's probably a lot more services as well.

If I didn't know anything about Linux, and had Linus Tech Tips as my main source of knowledge in regards to Linux, I would have considered Linux to be a toy novelty project at best.

Linus Tech Tips should focus on what they're good at, which is, err... Well. I bet they're good at something. Perhaps making noodles or something?

I've been using XMPP the past two decades. I use it because I haven't found something that's better.
