Yes, but additionally I started getting actual random vibrations from my phone with no notifications. After a while I discovered that if I put my phone on a library book, my phone will buzz. I tested it over and over before believing it. Guess it interacts with the electronic tag the library uses for checkouts.

A few years ago I came up with a game where the navigator/DJ queues up 3 songs all connected in some way and the driver (and other passengers) have to figure out what the connection is. It's become my favourite road trip game, but now I can't stop noticing random details in songs that would make cool themes.

On my first day of grade 8, the science teacher asked if anyone had a bill for a demonstration. I volunteered my $5 bill. He proceeded to douse it in some chemical and torch it, to the amusement of the class. It burned for a few seconds but the bill was unharmed. At first I didn't spend it because I liked the story, but now I also won't spend it because it's the last paper bill I have (all Canadian bills have been plastic for a while).

I got an HP laptop in university and someone coughed a mouthful of tea onto my keyboard a few months later. At first I kept "a" on my clipboard so I could paste it as needed while typing, but soon other keys followed. So my computer is over 6 years old and I've been typing for almost 6 years using:

  • The 4 on my num pad as the A key
  • The 7 on my numpad as Q
  • The 5 on my numpad as tab
  • The 2 on my numpad as Z
  • The help/F1 is ESC
  • The numpad 1 to type 1 and exclamation points

Recently, I've also changed the minus on my numpad to be ` (backtick). I don't have a capslock. Thankfully, the damage didn't continue to spread because I would have eventually run out of keys.

Sometimes I fantasize about someone calling me out on a weird typo so I can tell them about it.

Thanks so much for doing this! I just found the Reddit community a couple of weeks before the exodus and really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful creations and taking inspiration.

I hope I can contribute to the community as soon as my kitchen situation improves. If I get to a challenge late, would I still be able to post it or are submissions only accepted during that challenge's week?
