Interesting. I meant this about any place in life in general. Companies weren't specifically my focus. Anyway I don't know how to make a sublemmy private. All of this is my "philsosophy" stuff I wanna leave for my daughter when she grows up, so I hope you dismiss this as the cringe thing this is :)

I'm realizing how over engineered Claude's solutions are. I have realized now just today that it's best at just dding tiny updates to code. Not good at architecting anything new at all that has to work for longer than 5 days.

I guess it's like banning loan sharks. Sure some people could only.get loans through them because banks were racist or whatever. But it's objectively bad for everyone using it mainly because when it's bad its really really bad.

I enjoy solitude as well and I also would align with most things you mention here but I do think there is a slight undertone of superiority here when you look down on others who need to yell and need music etc. Others do them. You do you. It's respectable even if we don't get it. I definitely don't get it. But I also feel like it's not my place to yuck their yum.

I also do. One unique important thing that agents rob you of is time with your code - you don't get to craft it so you remember just as well as you would have if you copied answers for a test.

That is also very real. All of those things have the potential to wreck the experience so much! Some more clinical and medical than others.

As a straight guy, I will have you know that i also had this issue in a particularly stressful anxious depressing time of my life. Stress can do that for sure.

I translate it to "I find that valueable somehow" and I usually feel "glad you found that very useful but that's not really that great" feeling but I realize in that moment sometimes it's not about me there. It's the sum total of what the other person experienced with my presence I guess.

I'm getting started on it. This is what LLMs will be useful for. To fight the power as fast as they shittify things.
