Started playing Getting over It with Bennett Foddy with my partner - I completed the game a few years ago but it's fun reliving the first time playing in watching (and helping sometimes!) my partner play. Their reactions when seeing stuff for the first time, trying to problem solve how to approach the next area, its awesome. Oh, and they do rock climbing IRL so their commentary is also very interesting too.
I held my breath as I searched "just" and didn't see me on there, but I did see your account. An average joe getting more attention than a regular nerd sounds on par I guess.
I described it to a friend as Reddit (which itself is a forum that people comment on posts) that works like email - you can pick your own server and interact with others.
I still have my DR750-2CH which has no cellular connection (so I should be unaffected), but it's sad to see Blackvue enshittify like this. This dashcam has been pretty good and continues to serve me well.
But once it dies I planned on getting a USB powered one anyway (as Blackvue ones run with a barrel jack) so that I could more easily hook up a power bank in between if I planned to park the car for a while (like a week)
I'm late to the thread but I'm a freak who has all three.
Grew up on Windows, went full Linux in my teens, got a M1 MacBook Air last year and use it daily.
My current computer lineup now is a M1 MacBook Air running macOS, and a 2015 MacBook Air 11" dualbooting Debian 13 (GNOME) and Windows 10
They both get used daily or near daily. I am stupidly productive on the M1 MBA, especially with a portable USB-C monitor. The 2015 MBA is this beat up old thing that is stupidly portable and therefore convenient. It's so cute.
Single core performance is better though, but with 4 fewer cores it falls behind in multi core.
My M1 is not laggy at all even in 2026 and I do an IT degree. It's my primary machine and it dutifully does everything I throw at it. The only qualifier to my experience is I've not updated to macOS 26 (Liquid Glass) as 15 works just fine and I still get security updates.
My personal opinion is the Neo would be perfect for anyone going through college, with all sorts of productivity apps open and browser tabs, but don't expect more from it.
I gotta do the same on my mountain bike - derailleur front and rear need adjustment, the little window to see what gear you're in is faded over, and the chain is a little rusty. My front suspension forks have a bit of rust too

For ages my Forester has had a bad steering rack and sometimes would whine especially if turning a sharp corner.
Me and my sister were at a campground one morning when she woke up from being too cold, and so as the responsible big brother, I figured I'd move the car near our tent and turn the heater on temporarily while I get the fire started.
That power steering screech as that thing turned around was the most embarrassed I've ever felt in my life.
Huh, then I wonder why God put all that asbestos in the earth then? And all the arsenic. And all the other lovely toxic minerals that I couldn't think of in 10 seconds
Man, if Stiller just added a tiny bit of context by tagging Knicks, none of that would've happened. I just can't imagine sending something out so vague and open ended and not expecting it to be misunderstood.

The thing that actually baffles me about this is how this looks in the face of their next major competitor in the consumer market, Apple and their macOS.
macOS (or any other Apple product) has never (to my knowledge) had anything like this and it would be extremely out of character for Apple to suddenly change that. With all other manufacturers raising prices (including the Surface as of today) and the MacBook Neo directly competing with the mid tier PC laptops, this is what Microsoft decides to do?
At some point, one would hope that the average user starts to ask the question, can I have a computer that won't pull this bullshit on me? But I think unfortunately most typical users (especially anyone daily driving Edge) just think there's too much friction to move away from Windows, and so they stay, continuing to get fucked in the ass by megacorps.
But hey, I'm not in the running for a free car like them. Not like I'll install Edge onto my Mac or Arch Linux computer and sync my shit with OneDrive.
I've been using What's Up Docker as an alternative instead. With my containers set up in Yacht, I can check for updates with WUD and then actually update them with Yacht
