I don't think most people have a seconds clock up on their phone when they set their watch to their phone time (also meaning OP is correct that phone time is base time for people).

That means they aren't syncing the seconds hand and there is ± 60 seconds of error. Also probably some error in ± 1 minute of hand placement error, especially for small watch faces, plus mechanical timing error for all but the high end mechanical watches. There are tons of sources of error. NTP time is accurate to the 10s of milliseconds, so around 3 orders of magnitude difference for most people.

Tried Fedora Silver blue or universalblue spins? Unless you do serious embedded development work (which takes more setup on atomic distros), then I have experienced that it is less work in general in setup and upkeep.

I am far and away not an AI enthusiast but I don't understand specifically the copyright issue with respect to "trained on x data"

Because we humans who contribute to FOSS are also generally trained on proprietary data (gaining experience with non-foss systems at companies).

I get the "who owns it" argument since the person didn't create it.

Fuck LLMs for drying up groundwater and stealing electricity from families though.

Picos are very bad for battery applications. If you do end up doing this, make sure it is mains-powered like your original thought.

Esp32s, MSP430s, and nRF chips have sleep currents down to around 5uA or less.

Picos have sleep currents of 1-4mA. That is 1000x higher and the battery will only last for a few days instead of a few years.

It seems as though codeberg and github were deleted or made private and their website is just a "go away" webp now so I can't search through the blocklist

The problem is that almost none of them follow the law, they discard the law when they please, they make up laws to justify beatings, killings, or abuse, and a huge percentage of them are domestic abusers and many abuse drugs or alcohol at home. They don't follow any law or code besides "don't snitch on eachother".

The law us simply a tool for them to do whatever the fuck they want.

Hey, even if people don't approve of AI software (or baby-killing village-starving Nestle), turning something open source local-controlled instead of cloud SaaS locked down bullshit is always a good cause!

Citric acid.

Drop a teaspoon of citric acid into a full kettle, boil it, empty it, rinse it out, repeat if needed. That blasts away the build up. It is how high end kettles like Fellow stag recommends cleaning their kettle too because you can't scrub its mirror finish hotplate.

He isn't talking about noise or quality I think.

He is talking about how there is no digital bullshit needed to play it in a time of rampant enshittification.

You could put it on pretty much anything made in the last century or even make it yourself and it will just play.

Also, accounts. Long promised for community or lowest tier then integrated only in the expensive tier of photoprism IIRC, which made me switch because that only then works for individuals.

Except for database versions in 2.7.5->3.0.0

But one docker compose change and it migrated seamlessly.

There are very different rules. Like worlds different.

Comparing just Belgium and the Netherlands right next to each other. The Netherlands is quite doable if you find a job. Some automatic work visas and then residence based on that depending on origin country

In Belgium literally no company in the country outside of IMEC and Deloitte will go through the extremely long visa sponsorship program (only digitalized in 2022 IIRC). It is pretty much only possible if you have family or a partner that already lives there. Even people studying there for 3-8 years have a few months to find a job or they are kicked out (in a bad job market compared to other countries also).
